    I can’t say enough about this soundtrack. It is fantastic. I actually just deleted my previous Hook Expanded Release from 2012. This one blows that one out of the water. The production is so well done. Hearing the music finally properly presented is the absolute best. To me it is John William’s best score. I also love so many others as well. Home Alone 1&2, His Harry Potter scores, Star Wars and Jurassic Park, just to name a few. I’m so glad I preordered this before it was released. It is a masterpiece. Still my favorite piece of music is the entire Ultimate War battle music including “Death of Rufio” and “Sword fight and the end of Hook”. I can’t get enough of it.

    I absolutely love this new release! It is fantastic! Very well produced and made. So amazing to hear the battle music in great quality without volume dips. Well done LaLaLand Records! Great job I am very impressed. Hook is the first movie remember watching as a kid. It has always been my favorite John Williams soundtrack.

    I throughly enjoyed Jurassic World. Very well done film! To me The Force Awakens was my favorite film of 2015. Such a massive step up from the prequels. I always tell people this but i grew up with the prequels when all the prequels came out I just didnt care about Star Wars in general then i saw Attack of the Clones and went to the midnight release of Revenge of the Sith and then thought they were amazing. About 5 years I ago i watched the prequels again and realized honestly how bad the prequels are. The acting was very stiff and the dialogue was very badly written. One thing i will say some actors Ewan McGregor, Ian McDirmid were great at least I thought in there roles. The music in the prequels to me for me was better then The Force Awakens. Still I loved the score for the film. A friend bought the soundtrack for me for Christmas and i love it. The embossed Slipcover case was a huge selling point for me! Love the look of the packaging very well done. Fingers crossed for an expanded release for The Force Awakens in 2016. It's probably very unlikely but I'm still hopeful. Lol

    i now have seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens 6 times. in my opinion i feel that the soundtrack did represent the movie very well. i find myself listening to the album almost everyday! Is it as good as the prequel or Original Trilogy music? No. But I do feel that the soundtrack did represent the film well. i know there is a lot of music that was left out and I do hope that gets released soon but it took me a few listens to get warmed up to the album but I throughly enjoy it now.

    No. Embossing is a very difficult technique which requires a lot of skill and time, for a result that is mindblowing. The price is totally justified. But the question is cover of The Force Awakens soundtrack be embossed? i know we don't really no yet but Im pretty sure a few weeks ago on the Disney Music Emporium website said the cover would be embossed and at the time it was only $19. can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks!

    Just checked The Disney Music Emporium website, The Force Awakens soundtrack the last time I checked was $19. Which is reasonable but not it is $34.00 for no embossed cover and just a poster!?! Wow! And yes I am complaining that is crazy i can see if it's a two CD set but its not. Anyone else agree?

    I'm not being serious I was just wondering if the embossed cover is still happening I know there were talks about it for a while hopefully this still happens.

    i definitely be purchasing The Force Awakens score on December 18, but i do have one question will the CD artwork still be the embossed cover like previously stated or has that now changed? i think it would be so awesome to have the embossed cover huge selling point for me. Man of Steel by Hans Zimmer had this also didn't it? Either way the cover/case was amazing! Loved it.

    I read i believe it was Forbes saying The Force Awakens is opening in 3,900 theaters. Does this worry anyone? i thought it would at least have 4,200-4,300 theaters. Just wondering everyone's thoughts. Thanks!

    okay so the score is 77 minutes long. i'm okay with this and really excited. Hopefully though at soime point the other 2 hours of music gets released. Also is the 30 mins of unreleased music being released as well? Didn't JJ say there was an additional 30 minutes that would be released?b I wonder if it is already included in the 77 minute album runtime. Thanks!1

    Hopefully eventually we will get the other possibly 100 minutes of the recorded score for the force awakens. Maybe if the album sells really well maybe the rest of the score will be released like The Phantom Menace Ultimate Edition.

    I do realize that lol. I was just hoping that we would have a slight chance to possibly have a two disc edition for the force awakens soundtrack since it was coming from a different record label and since it was coming from the Disney music Emporium. I know it's probably up to John Williams how much gets released but it would be nice to have a two-disc edition but probably will not happen

    I'm just saying it would be nice to have a release like the original trilogy, where you get most of the music from the film in a two disc set. i know all record label are different but i am holding out that slight hope that we do get a two disc release but probably won't happen though. It took Williams 20 years to release an expanded score for Hook and Home Alone. Here's to hoping Lol. We shall see.

    Sadly I think the days I think of having a 2 disc release for anything new John Williams puts out is gone. Unless it's from Indtrada or La La Land Records. (Sorry I know my spelling is off). Honestly i was hoping for a two disc release mainly because Disney was releasing it. They have done pretty good in recent years with Frozen 2 Disc Deluxe Edition and all the Legacy Collection releases. I am sure it is probably up to John Williams how much of the score will be released considering he composed the music. I would just like to see a two disc release like the Original Trilogy. It would be so amazing! One thing i do wonder though is I believe JJ said somewhere that there will be 30 minutes of music released also? Can someone clarify please? That may end up being the 2nd disc possibly.

    I'm pretty sure the OST will be a fair representation of the score as heard in the film within the 75-mins presentation format, with the added concert suite themes to round off the program. Keep in mind the OST will be bought not just by JWfans and film music aficionados, but likely by a much larger crowd. And most of them will buy it after seeing the movie and will want to relive the excitement of what they heard in the film itself. IMHO that's the reason why they're keeping a more comprehensive release for a later moment--they don't want to have too many similar products out at the same time with the risk of confusing the buyers. The OST will be for the general audience, but you can bet your dinner that an expanded 2-disc release (and probably a collectible vinyl of sorts as well) aimed at collectors and more demanding fans will be released in the following months. Hook got an expanded score but not until 20 yrs after it was released idk we shall see.

    Same here. Going to wait and see what the tracklisting is and whether or not it is a two disc set. I'm am hoping it's a two disc set like the original trilogy and some of Disney's most recent releases The Legacy Collection and Frozen.Although I am the same way I am a sucker for anything John Williams releases so we shall see.

    Sorry if this was posted already, The Disney Music Emporium website has a listing for a "Deluxe Edition' for the Force Awakens. will this be a two disc set like the Frozen soundtrack and the Legacy Collection for the classic Disney films. Can anyone shed any light on this/ Thanks!

    Thank you for clearing that up. I wasn't sure if those websites were reputable or not... I am completely stoked for this new film. The entire movie I believe will ride on who they cast as Batman but I think the film will be great!!! I think Zack Snyder already has the person picked who will play Batman and I'm sure they made a great choice and probably had a little guidance from Christopher Nolan. Also even though Nolan's involvement will more distant this time around I think we will still have somewhat of a Nolan stamp on the film one way or another. 2015 is going to have great summer blockbusters! There's no denying that! Can't wait!!!

    Cosmic Book News is not a reputable site, they put made-up stuff out in hopes of generating site traffic. If you want reputable fan-driven sites, then go to Latino Review or HitFix. The former has been known for breaking lots of casting news in the past couple of years that turned out legit like Christian Bale as Batman, Brandon Routh as Superman, and Heath Ledger as The Joker. I wouldn't trust anything CBN puts out... or HuffPost for that matter.
