  1. You covered all mine... the Potters, Hook, and Home Alone 1 and 2. After hearing Casper for the first time, I also thought that one has a Christmas feel in many places. There are a lot of warm, sentimental cues, often featuring choir. Plus I think there are sleigh bells somewhere in there.
  2. Yes, along with boxes of our Limited Throwback Edition JW Classic Series premium cigars. John may have quit smoking them, but you don't have to.
  3. I have no association with the Vienna Philharmonic. I'm only here to provide quality content for fans of John Williams. Like this great list of gifts for the holiday season: https://www.wienerphilharmoniker.at/en/shop/list
  4. I mean I am impressed that Williams could write a boring score. That would have been new territory for him!
  5. No you cretaceous bozo! I think the extreme boredom of the movie meant that JW had to write a boring (by his lofty standards) score to match.
  6. I have them all. This was a very rewarding phase of Williams' career, especially the drama scores and Star Wars sequels. The only one I don't really care for is The Post. Which I blame on this:
  7. It's not even the anniversary of Star Wars. I assume we're also getting American Graffiti merch?
  8. The closest thing I have to my own thread is "The Phantom Menace Lovefest Thread", which was created on my behalf. I don't think I ever started a brand new thread. I just leech off of others' hard work.
  9. I like to drop in this thread from time to time to make pity posts. You'd do the same for me!
  10. Well the less we think about the next Studio Ghibli film, the better.
  11. The Sun just reported that Chamber of Secrets is a John Williams score, from beginning to end.
  12. George must not have liked Jabba's theme very much. The name of the "more sinister" insert suggests that George probably commented Jabba's music wasn't sinister enough.
  13. JW's involvement did allow this score to become a gateway drug to Powell for me. From the first listen I was impressed with everything he did with JW's theme. So I kept listening, and began to like his original material as well. Now that this edition dropped, I gave it a listen and LOVED IT!!!! Amazing release, and flows well, the only thing I might change is removing the happy Imperial March, the credits, and the mashup stuff from Reminiscence Therapy, and of course add Adventures of Han. Agree with others that some of the harsher elements, like the Horner choir, sound much better here! The unreleased material is great too, and easily justifies the running time. It's fun to listen to Powell develop his and Williams' themes extensively. When you look at all the themes represented in this score, it's quite a tapestry. Speaking of, I love the DotF material, including how it appears in a subtle way before becoming more obvious. Black Friday what, Black Friday who? This fantastic release is enough to keep me busy.
  14. All the classical composers are dead. How's that for a dark future? I tried to support you in your creation of this thread so maybe show some respect, you big mother clucker.
