  1. One of the most compelling soundtracks of all time besides Star Wars. John Williams the best Maestro out there right now. My favorite track on here is Exsultate Justi. This is why I asked about the lyrics because it is well done. Did anybody watch the PBS special with the Boston Pops Orchestra. I can't remember the real name.

  2. He's mainly done LSO Raider's was done with LSO Last Crusade was done with LSO, but Temple was done with HSO. I do not want to say 100% sure he's going to use LSO, but I would guess this because he's used them so many time. He likes the sound. I do not know why he used HSO for temple. Does anybody know why he use them instead of LSO?

  3. Hello all,

GoodMusician has done some very excellent work on his Star Wars Episode I Complete Edition indeed. It is as complete as you can get and in excellent sound quality. And it has all cues as seperate tracks, which should make it very easy to use GoodMusician's version as a base version to make a 2-disc special edition soundtrack similar to the ones released by RCA/Victor for the Original Trilogy. And that is exactly what I'm wanting to do. I am nowhere near as good with music editing as many of the other members of this board, but I reckon that with GoodMusician's complete edition, I should be able to do this reasonably well.

At the moment I have not done any editing on this at all yet, because I am trying to decide on the tracklist. I want to make the tracklist similar to the Special Editions for the OT. I don't want to use SFX, nor do I want many alternates. And I want to limit the amount of "double" music as well. So I have been working on making a tracklist for this. Please have a look at the tracklist here. The bold italic text will be the final trackname, while the small text below shows which cues from GoodMusician's complete edition will be used in these tracks. Below the tracklist I have posted some comments of my own and some questions to you all. I hope somebody will be able to help with figuring those out.

Before I get to the actual work on this, I would want to have your comments on my tracklist. I want to make the best version I can and for that I do need comments and perhaps some help as well. Perhaps you know of a better way to make this tracklist? Or maybe there are some tracks you think would go great together? Or perhaps there are some tracks you think should not be used together. Or perhaps you have thought of better tracknames? Every (useful) comment is welcome. :)

I am going to try to edit this edition as WAV so that it'll have the best sound quality as possible. Once I'm done, I will provide it to anyone who wants it. But please wait with sending the PMs until it's actually done. Which shouldn't take all that long; GoodMusician already did the hard work. :)

Do a Special Edition Listing for Episode II and III. Iwould like to see what this would look like.

  4. I read something very intresting on a website(can't remember website name) on why John Williams will not re-release Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Soundtrack. I read that there is not enough support for it and that there are not enough people intrested in seeing this soundtrack being re-released. I think this is wrong and not ture. How many of the members here at John Williams Fan Network would support a re-release of the soundtrack? Do you think we should all start a petition to get this soundtrack re-release? Thanks.

  5. To All John Williams Fans:

Do you know if John Williams is doing the music this time for the whole soundtrack or is he doing just the themes again like he did for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If he is just doing the themes. Do you think they got Patrick Doyle or will they have some one else do the music?

  6. Don't give up on e-Bay......I was in the right place at the right time with e-Bay and got it for less than £18 including postage.....not sure where you're from but that's less than $35US......this was only about a year ago.....

I do not like e-bay because of the fact you can ONLY become a MEMBER if you give out your credit card number which is REQUIRED if you want to buy anything off e-bay. I think this is wrong. I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD or DO NOT PLAN ON GETTING A CREDIT CARD anytime soon. The reason being IDENTITY THIEFT. The person could claim they are selling the CD, but then decide not to and then they have your money and credit card number and with draw everthing in the account. Then your in debt with your credit card company and they want you to pay the bill when it was not you making those excessive payments on your credit card. This the main reason I will not get a credit card.

  7. To your luck and every JW fan all the three scores are rerecorded by Silva Screen Records label. The news just came in today and we discussed the matter here:http://www.jwfan.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=8708

This is a lame excuse just to get people to buy somthing. I did buy it though, but I still think the people who can determaine if th eIndiana Jones and the Temple of Doom soundtrack should be rereleased SHOULD release this soundtrack again and SOON!!!!! I like there version, but it is not the complete score and not really conducted by John Williams. I would also like more replies because this subject last the whole month of Nov. Thanks.

  8. I remember when I mailed him a letter back before Revenge of the Sith came out. I think I wrote him Aug. 2003 and I recived a reponse Jan. 2004. So yes, he does repond, but all I ever got back was his autograph which is cool just I wished he anwsered my questions.

  9. Indiana Jone and the Temple of Doom Soundtrack was first release on May 23, 1984 and I have tried to find it on-line to buy, but have successfully failed to find it to buy. People are selling it on e-bay, but too expensive and not sure if they are telling the truth about the condition. I know it is not up to John Williams to rerelease this soundtrack, but maybe someone could let me know if this soundtrack will be rereleased?

  10. Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is the Best Star Wars Score evehthough the Best Main Title is Episode III. I will tell you why. Episode V has the Imperial March(Original), The Battle of Hoth(Originial) and the Carbon Freeze...(Original). What does Episode III have: Main Title(Original/Remakes[Force Theme]), Battle of the Heroes(Original/Remake[imperial March]), General Grivious(Original). I am not sure, but I think General Grivious is the only song original make. The others he adds something he as arleady done.

  11. Out of the three prequel movies though I like Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The song fits the action very well and John Williams Should have won an oscar for the Soundtrack to Revenge of the Sith. It was disappointing to see it lose. Battle of the Heroes is another reason it should have won an oscar. This two songs make the soundtrack #1. #2 on my list is Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. #3 Episode II; #4 Episode VI #5 Episode IV and #6 Episode I.

  12. With like any soundtrack there are muisc that is used in the film, but originally not released in the soundtrack. Like its predecessor Star Wars: Episode IV-Vi he released the soundtracks, but 25 years later released the Special Edition Soundtrack to IV-VI. When do you think the release of the Speical Edition Soundtrack of Episode I-III will come out? Do you think it will take another 25 years just to release these unreleased music?
