  1. is anyone playing the Project Zomboid pre-alpha demo? its a little indie game with ambitions to be the most comprehensive zombie game ever
  2. Fallout was a more traditional RPG, Diablo was a simplistic clickfest light RPG where the main motivation was killing monsters, levelling up and chancing upon awesome loot (read: kickass rare weapons)....just like Borderlands
  3. Take Diablo. Now switch its setting to an a post apocalypse setting. Make it an FPS. Add vehicles. Now you have Borderlands. Far less steps
  4. Whats wrong with calling it.....Jurassic Park: The Lost World? =P well, Megatron was a T-Rex in Beast Wars
  5. I'm as puzzled as anyone about Calculus not being in the movies, but for now I'm going to trust Spielberg, Jackson and...Steven Moffat
  6. having seen all the movies, the only one I didn't enjoy was Transformers 2. Yes, the rest aren't really great movies but I somehow managed to enjoy them on some level. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I like all the choices apart from Transformers 2. However, Transformers 2 is one of the few movies I actively hate. Easy choice.
  7. Borderlands is more like....Diablo with guns than a Fallout Lite
  8. I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment, plus the land race sequence is a sight to behold
  9. back home in Malaysia, there is no such thing as a free seating system. Tickets have their respective seats printed on them. Buy tickets early and you get first pick at seats.
  10. polyjuice potion in snape's sperm or something...you know...king arthur style. quidditch...well, it can't be proven its 'inherited' =P
  11. someone was bound to put a video like that togehter. i instantly thought of mirror's edge when i first saw the spidey trailer
  12. I've always felt that US remakes lost a bit of an edge compared to the originals. I have absolutely no idea how MTV will remake The Inbetweeners without it totally sucking.
  13. its probably worth a second round. I havent watched Blackadder in two years
  14. seeing that its also by Berry and Fulman, is the Mighty Boosh anything like Snuff Box? I found Snuff Box to be hit and miss. I've not seen Snuff Box. Mighty Boosh is very surreal though and definitely not everyones cup of tea. It's downright weird a lot of the time, which is my thing a lot of the time. BUT... I almost forgot about Blackadder. HAVE SEEN BLACKADDER?! If it's the last thing you do before you die: hunt down that show. Skip the first series (season) and start at the second - they didn't find their feet till then. Don't worry about plot or consistency - each series was set in a different era. Blackadder has some of the best writing in tv comedy history and anyone who enjoys British comedy shows owes it to themselves to see it Your description of Mighty Boosh sounds a lot like Snuff Box. I don't know. When Snuff Box was good, it was really good. But it definitely felt a bit rough around the edges. It does sound like Mighty Boosh is worth a try then. And you aren't alone, I don't know how I forgot to mention that I've seen Blackadder too! Haha.
  15. I've actually seen My Family =) Black Books looks intriguing one of my main complaints about BBC America is that there aren't enough BRITISH shows on it, and too much Star Trek TNG
  16. I'm fine with older stuff, though that slot is being filled by Only Fools currently. seeing that its also by Berry and Fulman, is the Mighty Boosh anything like Snuff Box? I found Snuff Box to be hit and miss.
  17. Yea I've seen all of it. I really enjoyed the rather dark and edgy Pulling. I'll have to look into those. =) I also intend to go through Red Dwarf at some point, but something shorter would be good for now.
  18. OK so its the summer here and I'm running out of TV shows to watch. I've been on a Brit comedy kick and while they've been absolutely hilarious, British Brevity means that I'm constantly running out of things to watch. So, what I've seen so far Fawlty Towers The Office The Inbetweeners Coupling I Am Alan Partridge random Monty Pythons Pulling Gavin and Stacey Free Agents The IT Crowd So, to the UK members on here, or even Anglophiles...any other recommendations? I'm thinking of giving The Young Ones a try, and am currently working my way through Only Fools and Horses.
  19. The problem with that strategy is, you get banned after you just barely break the win limit. I mean, with a double down, whats the max amount of chips you can earn with a max bet? 500 or so if I remember correctly? Its been a while since I've played. However, if you were to say, play blackjack until you reach say...9000 in winnings (and say, the casino has a 10,000 ban limit) and THEN hit the slots, with some luck you could be looking at winning up to 32,000 on top of the 9,000 you have and then only getting banned =D
  20. I already sometimes skip posts just because of spoiler tag usage. It may be just a few seconds, but if everyone were to adhere to obsessive spoiler tag usage, browsing these forums will be a Starcraft-like click fest instead of an easy scroll. And like you said, this is an MB heavily invested in film, so do I have to go 'Oh, my favorite bit of music in the film is when... '?' every time? With The Good the Bad and the Ugly, its not like we are discussing some little obscure movie from 30 years back no one has seen but everyone is somehow clamoring to at some point.
  21. The New Vegas Medical Center allows you to genetically alter your DNA. You can add points to strength, intelligence, charisma, etc. Costs a pretty cap though. I easily made a huge amount of money at the casinos (I had an 8 or 9 luck character). There is a cap to each casino though before you get banned permanently. Best way to max it out is to play blackjack (very dependable) until you are close to the cap, then hit the slots and hope for a stupendous payout to blow your winnings waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past the limit.
