Hello all, I was wondering what sound effect free expanded or complete scores exist from the Star Trek movies. I'm trying to get some, but I don't know for which version I should look. :?

I have found a file on the internet that is said to be Alan Silvestri's rejected theme for Pirates of the Caribbean. If you'd like to hear it, drop me a PM. It sounds pretty interesting, though not exactly piratey. I wonder if this actually IS Alan Silvestri's rejected theme or if this is a fake... :?

The opening of Cutthroat Island and the entire Battle and finale. Also the battle scene in Mulan and the finale.

Of course I indeed AM being very premature. I admit that. I was just so utterly disappointed with Doyle's Goblet of Fire that I was really hoping that someone I know to be good would do OotP. GoF is OK, but the more times I see the film, the more I find that it is most sincerely lacking a John Williams score. I really like Harry Potter (the books more than the films, but still...) and I really want the best for the Harry Potter films. Maybe Hooper actually WILL do a good job; I really hope so. I am looking forward to being pleasantly surprised, but I don't dare hope for it. My hopes have been thwarted once with GoF; there's no reason to assume it won't happen again... BTW: I really don't like the PoA film either. I like the PoA book best, but the film had too many parts missing and had to many "What the heck???"-moments. The absolutely awesome music by John Williams saved the film; otherwise it would've been a rather bad failure in my book. I liked GoF much better. But contrary to PoA, here the reasonably good film makes up for the rather bland score. I still consider CoS and PS better films. These both were good films that really felt like the books were coming to live right in front of your very eyes. PS had the better score, though the themes of CoS were excellent as well. And I really liked the humour in CoS: "Follow the butterflies" and "Can we panic now" are two of my favourite jokes.

According to Mugglenet.com: Nicholas Hooper to score OOTP Nicholas Hooper, one of the UK's leading media composers, is set to compose the soundtrack for the Order of the Phoenix movie. In 2004, he won the Best Original Score BAFTA for The Young Visitors and was nominated several other times for the prestigious awards. My comments: WOW! This is SO IMPRESSIVE! They went from Mr. The Very Best (John Williams) to Mr. Not So Good (Patrick Doyle) to Mr. Just Plain Nobody! They really don't give a damn about who composes the music, do they? :cry: * Is VERY disappointed indeed *

NICE! I have a couple of questions about the complete and extended editions of the Star Wars Prequel music: So far I have not managed any proper edits on this, but one day I'll make a good version. Luckily I managed to download some reasonably good versions from the internet. Based on those I have a couple of questions: 1) Is Yoda's theme from RotS available anywhere? I want Yoda's theme in my RotS extended edition; otherwise RotS will be the only soundtrack without it (apart from ANH, but Yoda isn't IS ANH, so that doesn't matter). 2) Is the subdued version of Lament that is played when Anakin chokes Padmé available anywhere? 3) There is some trade federation action music available and all versions I downloaded place this piece of music during the Battle of Naboo. However, according to your list, it's supposed to be during the Droid Invasion. It is supposed to be in the Droid Invasion, isn't it? I admit I do like it very much in the Droid Invasion. 4) The action music in OST track 11 "Anakin Defeats Sebulba" actually IS supposed to accompany the podracing sequence, isn't it? But why do people keep putting it in "The Gungans Retreat"? What music IS supposed to accompany "The Gungans Retreat"?

Does anyone know if and when the last part of the Phantom Menace editing information will be done? Just wondering...

I most certainly am not happy about it. Memoirs of a Geisha can be ridiculously good, I still would've preferred a Williams score for Goblet of Fire. But that is because I very much like Harry Potter, so naturally I would want the best possible score for a Harry Potter film. And Doyle's score most certainly is not, in any way, the "best possible score for a Harry Potter film".

This is great! I am downloading straight away! I listened to your previous prequel suite again a few days ago and really liked it. Very good job. I am very much looking forward to your new version. I downloaded Qui-Gon Jinn's theme from your site quite some time ago, but haven't yet commented on it, so I will now: Very impressive indeed! If I finally manage to edit a proper complete version of TPM, I will add all concert suites to it, including yours. Yours will probably be the best edited track on my complete version; I am no great music editor myself, so the rest of the tracks won't be quite as good. I usually make a small cover picture for all music I have on my HD, so when I downloaded your first suite, I also made some cover pictures for it. So there is nobody wanting to help me? Shame. 8O You are right, Stefancos. The 3 CD release contains plenty of music to keep most people happy. I just wished those two parts were on there as well.

Is there anybody here who likes the choral Force theme renditions in the final duel in RotS? I personally do like them pretty much. Plus I agree with all the other ones posted above.

Hello all, When I watched the movie to Cutthroat Island some time ago, I noticed that there is some music in the movie that isn't on Prometeus Records' complete edition. "Dawg's Plan" in track 16 "First Kiss/Love Scene/Dawg's Plan" features choir in the movie, but not on the soundtrack. Also: Track 23 "Discovery of the Cave" is greatly extended in the movie with some quite nice music. I have found a DVD rip of those tracks and they are very low on SFX. I would like to make a truly complete edition of the soundtrack by adding those two parts into the official complete edition. However, I suck at music editing, so I would need some help. The theme is certainly good. Only when I heard it there the first time, it made me jump, because I was expecting it to go like the OST version. I'm going to try to edit the OST End Credits to be after your Finale if I can.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. I got it and am very impressed with it. Great job! A lot of music that I was terribly missing from the OST is there, especially including the actual finale. Thank you ever so much! Just one little question: On the version I have, the End Credits contain the Brittish fanfare (from the finale) between Willy's theme and the final Indy march. Did you put it there or do I have a slightly different version than the one you made? I thought maybe it was like that on the DVD, but I checked it yesterday and it wasn't there.

It looks like it's probably a compilation based on the OST and the bootleg. I made something very similar for myself as well.

I originally posted the news about the re-recordings on this forum. I found the news here. For all I know, The IndyExperience.com is usually a quite trustworthy source on Indiana Jones news and when something isn't certain, they usually post the news and adding that it is still just a rumor. So if it really is true, I don't know. I think you should judge for yourself.

I would be interested in reading your review. I would also be interested in finding a complete score version somewhere. I'd edit it myself, but my editing skills are horrid. If you want, please PM me with the link to your review if you can't post it here.

For quite some time, my favourite track has been the full final battle from Cutthroat Island. That one's awesome.

Usually on my iPod or on the computer with Windows Media Player. Same goes for all other composers.

I, for one, am looking forward to Indiana Jones IV. I absolutely love the Indiana Jones movies and don't think an additional one would hurt. Especially with some more Indy music from John Williams. The Indiana Jones music is my favourite John Williams music.

That one comes highly recommended in my book. Most of the additional tracks are great or at least have some great parts. It isn't all as breathtaking as the tracks on the OST, but few tracks are dull. And you get the full Battle music, which is worth the money on it's own. The bonus tracks aren't very interesting, but the original synth demo from the main theme is. This is one of my absolute all-time favourite soundtracks and one I wouldn't want to live without.

Thanks to my father, the first music I heard in 2006 was from someone called Katie Melua. I requested he turn his music off, so I could listen to John Williams first, but unfortunately, he wouldn't. Thankfully, the second thing I heard this year was the Raiders March! Of course in the hope of Indiana Jones 4 being done this year.
