  1. I prefer hardcopies too. But I consider us lucky that we got it at all. I'm glad Rob MacGregor has such good connections to the fans.
  2. You should be able to find them all on my folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Dt45FOznD4LEObpfmGLyc5nbIXK3rVOO It was released as a free ebook quite recently! I haven't read it yet, but it is in the folder too. Check out also the fan novelization of Fate of Atlantis. Haven't read that either, but it promises to be pretty good!
  3. They're indeed early Indy stories. Have you read the ones by Wolfgang Hohlbein too? Most of those are post the films. I recently found English fan translations at long last. They're some of my favourites there are! Yes, PLEASE!!
  4. Why not? They must be rare. A bit like real life Freak Waves at sea. It took a LONG time before science managed to confirm the existence of those. Before that they were just the stuff of legend; that occasionally killed a ship. I also assume they must occur at ground level too. Otherwise how could Archimedes have tested the Dial before? So it wouldn't be found too quickly. Help needed to come from FAR into the future. I'm REALLY hoping for a good Novelization too. This story could use more breathing space. On the Dial, the villains and the finale. I seem to recall they took the Dial back to the future. Because Archimedes was needed to make his own version. I was miffed at Mutt's death too. Really didn't think that was called for. Have to agree. We should've had more. Thankfully we still have all the Novels.
  5. I was a bit bummed out that Sallah went through all the trouble of taking his passport, but then Indy convinced him to stay in the States. Bugger! So close!
  6. It completely misses her villainous side. So yeah, I agree.
  7. Have to say, I agree. The villains really had NO scrupules! I'd have liked some more characterization though. They felt like fairly blank nasty pieces of work.
  8. I LOVE the Moffat era. Even more than RTD. What episode would you recommend to someone who likes hard sci-fi, but not silly stuff? I'd like to convince a friend Doctor Who is actually good stuff. But he's convinced it's not for him. I honestly thought the same myself and it took until halfway into S3 before it clicked. But now I love it.
  9. Indeed I didn't even know about his Doom cameo until yesterday. Fun nod though!
  10. Someone I was talking to on Facebook yesterday thought he saw the same thing. It'd only make sense to put a nice cameo in there. Why hire random extras when you can put a bit more meaning into things?
  11. I wouldn't call Helena a Mary Sue. She may be capable, but she bumbles at times as well and certainly isn't flawless. Rey also has reasons to be the way she is, as explained in "Before the Awakening".
  12. I'm sorry you watched a different movie than I did. I had been really scared for this one, but the final result put my fears to rest. I honestly had a blast.
  13. Struzan himself posted this one just now to his Facebook page. It really IS gorgeous.
  14. I haven't read it, but the title alone already thanks the Williams: https://www.koimoi.com/reviews/hollywood-movie-reviews/indiana-jones-and-the-dial-of-destiny-movie-review-the-fedora-whip-john-williams-score-does-more-for-the-harrison-fords-swansong-than-its-story-screenplay/
  15. It's actually a fun piece. The more I listen to it, the less obvious the lift becomes.
  16. I must admit the WotW did not stand out to me. Unlike in Skull where the lift really obvious. I prefer the Skull additional development though. It's such a good track!
  17. I think all the reuse was intentional and composed as such from the start. There is clearly original material joining it all together. In a way, I really like "Germany, 1944". "On the Tank" is such a great originally unreleased track. And it sounds great here! Really gets the blood pumping.
  18. It really looks more art-workey with the outside showing. Quite amazing to see how his work is NOT a simple Photoshop collage. He sure puts in the effort! He's recently been posting some textless art from the Indy Novels on his Facebook account. SUCH cool ones too!
  19. I only remember one scene with the whip and we had seen it before. I could've done with one more... The March appears more in the film than on the album. Still a bit low on it, but it's not too bad. The attention between PWB and Ford seemed to be pretty evenly balanced. People were worried about it before, but I didn't spot a problem. The movie is the longest in the series and still I didn't want it to end. I'm happy it's not shorter. Hoping for some cool deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray release.
