  1. Indeed I'm discovering more and more. It's not as stellar as Williams' best. But I'm happy to have it all the same. We are lucky. The videos don't load for me. Anyone else that issue? You're hilariously not so wrong. I like the little joke about snakes the movie makes right before.
  2. Do you still have that somewhere? My quick search didn't find it for me. Struzan's work is SO COOL!
  3. In a way, I can see what you mean. The story is nothing earth-shattering. It's really "just" one other adventure for our hero. But that's exactly what I wanted out of it, so I'm happy. It didn't need to reinvent the wheel for me. Not much subverting. It's just a straight adventure. I recommendb watching it. This is our last chance and I reckon it's worth making the most of it. I can see that too. I was quite surprised to see the main villain for once did NOT have a gruesome mythical death. In fact, I don't even remember how he died. It was wholly forgettable. But that's not what this movie is about. I liked seeing Ancient Greece. And meeting Archimedes was SO COOL! My friend did notice it's on the more violent side. Certainly compared to Skull. That's indeed a bit of a plot hole. But I guess in the world of Indy, they could exist? Certainly not so crazy if you consider the types of things that happen in the Novels as well.
  4. He went in completely unspoiled. I had been keeping up with all the developments, except reading the Cannes synopsis spoilers and reviews. I am a BIG BIG Indiana Jones fan and he not so much. He's more loyal to Star Wars. And he tends to be more critical in general. Me, I'm just a sucker for fun adventure stuff. I even like the 1985 King Solomon's Mines. THAT low? What movie did he watch?? Make up your own mind is my recommendation. I honestly did not notice anything offensively horrible. Unlike Crystal Skull, which really has low lows.
  5. A quick Google search found me quite some decent ones. There might be more if you have a look too. But at least it's a start.
  6. THAT many?? I think were going to need timestamps for all the themes in this movie. It seems there are many more than seem apparent at first glance. Williams has been busy!
  7. Ah.. Indeed that wasn't too great. I didn't know Moffat had anything to do with that one though. Thought it was still RTD.
  8. Rumour has it you're the #1 Indy fan on this board. Pleased to make yer acquitance! (Again.) I'd be quite happy to be considered #2. Indiana Jones is for sure my favourite series, period.
  9. That was fast! I'm looking forward to getting to that point too in the next few days. (Weeks? Months?)
  10. It did indeed make a lot of references in a short time. In a way, I enjoyed it. And was happy to hear Temple of Doom wasn't left out either. The complete edition will have to teach us how much original music there was. I couldn't quite tell in my one viewing so far. I'm glad I knew what to expect before going in. Otherwise might've been distracted too.
  11. The reviews were right to mention the score so often. It's really a return back to an earlier age. An age when movies were allowed to be bright and fun!
  12. Good! Time to put Dark And Dreary Modern Movie Syndrome behind us at last. Fun is allowed again.
  13. Can someone make (any) matching set including the games too? Fate of Atlantis, Infernal Machine, Emperor's Tomb, Staff of Kings?
  14. Just came back from watching the movie. It's fun! I like it. The OST does a reasonable job representing the movie. I didn't notice anything major missing. On the other hand, yes there IS a lot missing. I would've preferred more from the opening, the Tuk Tuk chase and the finale. All of those are only partially complete.
  15. *I* sat through the whole credits... Probably to the embarrassment of the friend who was with me... Pretty sure I heard original music too.
  16. True. The first half definitely pulls me more than the second. There are some cool action tracks before the finale, but the emotion at the end cannot really be felt in the music. Whine whine.
  17. Indiana Jones is my #1 favourite series. I just watched the movie and I like it! Looking forward to seeing it many more times, along the other ones. I don't know why anyone would have major gripes with it. But my friend who was with me didn't like it much either. Well, you can all be crazy for all I care! I'm just grateful we got another fun adventure!
  18. I just came back from seeing it and I'm very happy we got another good adventure. I like it! The friend I watched it with not though. I guess it depends on what you want out of it...
  19. Just came back from watching the film. Indiana Jones IS better than everything!
