  1. Is that the market place source music? I quite like that. Otherwise... your list looks like it maaay be slightly in jest.
  2. What are the highlights according to you? Indiana Jones is probably my favourite series of movies and scores. But the music to the fourth movie doesn't really work for me either. Best bit is the unreleased ending to The Jungle Chase ("Ugh, Vines!"). There's something about the brass that sounds 'off' too. That seems to apply to most modern Williams adventure scores. But it bothers me the most in Indy. It kind-of sounds alien instead of earthy like it used to. (I'm no fan of the alien angle to that story. At all...)
  3. Dinosaur, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet and Hidalgo. All pretty darn solid adventure scores.
  4. Thanks very much! I'll see if I can look some of those up Definitely one of the best comedy shows I've ever seen. For anyone else reading: strongly recommended indeed! Watched them all as they came out. Love it! Science-Fiction, Comedy and good, fun, likeable characters. I watched the first season and it did absolutely nothing for me. Completely confused here on why people like it so much. I wonder if I'd feel different if it had taken the Spielberg influence one step further and gone for a Williams sound too. Like in the "Edge of the World" Netflix movie with music by Bear McCreary. I liked that one quite a bit. Agreed! I like it much better than Rise of Skywalker. Looking forward to Season 2.
  5. So with the whole world closing down, looks like there will be plenty of couch-time ahead. But I'm not sure what to do with it. I feel like I've kind-of run out of fun TV series to watch. Most stuff on Netflix tends to sound dark and dreary. And I'm kind-of allergic to that... Stuff I like in general is upbeat adventure/fantasy with a dash of comedy in there. Stargate, Doctor Who and The Orville do pretty well. Lately I got caught up on Lucifer and am almost finished with Good Omens. So, do any of you have any recommendations to share? Any stuff to help keep our spirits up this coming time?
  6. Indy deserved so much more. Far and Away is by far the better score. Doesn't strike me as particularly auto-pilot-ey at all. Quite some inspiration in that Irish element, I'd say.
  7. Nice one again! I especially appreciate Hermione's theme reappearing. That was one of the highlights of Chamber of Secrets. Really too bad it was used only once in there. Same with all those other glorious one-off motifs. I really like you promoting them to proper theme status.
  8. I get the impression Williams isn't big on delivering what people expect. He already wrote the Raiders March. Why do it again? Same with a First Order March in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
  9. Very much so! One of my favourite films. I don't think there's a single other one so jam-packed with full-blown adventure. Infinitely better than a certain fourth film in another series...
  10. Not likely though. Pretty sure they did put plenty of effort into all of it.
  11. Wow! Did NOT see that coming! The character finally making her way to live action, I mean. Never even would've thought of recasting. Any reason her Clone Wars voice actress wouldn't be a good fit?
  12. Movie on streaming sites? And miss that cinema income? It would be mighty nice of them. But unlikely... Also, it does take something away from the experience; doesn't it?
  13. Would expect some sort of official announcement first. And so soon after TROS was in theaters? But it does say "DISNEY Records" and "2 CDs". So it could be... Another re-release of the existing 2 CD sets.
  14. Care to share? And on the same subject; did anyone make a TLJ end title edit that removes Yoda's Theme? It doesn't seem fitting to me.
  15. Predictable isn't bad. Surprising isn't good. Should be sometimes the one, sometimes the other. Maybe he didn't know they'd be willing to help? They weren't all that warm to him earlier in the episode. And then they only showed up after they realized what was happening, had a council meeting about it and gathered their troops? Yep, I'm rationalizing again. It's all for dramatic effect, of course.
  16. Friend of mine was confused there too. My rationalisation: there are so few Mandalorians left. They kind of have to stick up for each other. Otherwise they'll all be gone in no-time.
  17. Another one bites the dust. You think they could do some further script finetuning in the meantime? Think of extra good jokes?
  18. I mean... poster looks quite psychedelic. Probably there is a story reason for that?
  19. Except that would've put the main title fanfare on the OST three times. Opening, Lando's Arrival and once again in that end title suite. I would've preferred it NOT being in the credits. Not a fan of copied music from elsewhere...
  20. Jawa from the original Star Wars? Isn't that with all films these days? Plenty cool stuff in there that you barely get the chance to take in. Was like that in the third Pirates of the Caribbean too.
