I have to say that I am not happy about this. I would much prefer him to not score catch me if you can which sounds like a generic score to me, and do Harry Potter. I loved the first score. It's one of my favorite scores. WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY???????????????????????????????

Hector,
We should all be here for each other not only to talk about Williams, but as we talk to each other practically everyday, you tend to care for one another. We are your friends and will be there for you with everything that you go through and dealing with grief is not an easy thing. Anytime you need to share or talk, even one on one, I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say, we will be listening and standing by you!

I understand what you are saying but out of all the composers he is the only one that is original from one film to the next, look at Minority Report, and AOTC, both are departures for him. A.I. was completely different to Harry Potter and TPM. Not to mention all his concert pieces that are completely different to his film work.... Most other composers sound the same over and over and over.

That was too funny!
I've never really watched the show that much but every match I have seen I have loved!!! It's no more violent than anything else that is out there.. At least with what I have seen, and at least this is done with humor

-
Evil Under the Sun is EXCELENT!!!!!!!! I loved when Maggie was trying to solve everything and kept getting the wrong end of the stick

I never saw VIP's... I'm going to have to find it!!!

"Even then, she could always throw her legs up higher than everyone else..... and wider......"

-
Now if I can just somehow get them to cast Angelica Houston for Maxim.....
-
and lower we go.........
-
I just thought that it's really cute that my dogs look like Morn - the ears of course, then they just look batty

-
I mean REALLY PEOPLE, does it have to resort to this sort of thing????? In times like these I always like to think "What would Joan Collins do?"
-
Morn Morn Morn.......
I can't believe you didn't like the trailer, already the effects are 100 times better, the actors look more comfortable in their parts, and it looks plain fun
-
Marian,
Oh my God, Miranda Richardson as Reeta Skeeter..... That is such a brilliant bit of casting, I can't believe I didn't think of it.
Angelica Houston is so perfect as madame Maxim, I hope they think about it, especially after seeing her in "Ever After". That's where I got my quote about not speaking unless you can improve upon the silence

Angela Landsbury as trelawny, good one Dole!
And Stefan... Maggie Smith is excelent in everything. She just can do no wrong in my eyes. She just has to change her facial features a little and you know exactly what she is thinking, and the delivery of those lines are impecable. She was amazing in "Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" "California Suite" "Evil Under The Sun" to name a few...... Even when she has a bit part she steals scenes! OK, I must remember that this is NOT MSFan.net but JWFan.net

considering you are a big slug like humanoid that sits at a bar in deep space and drinks heavily, it could be you

WHat's wrong with Colin Firth, Judi Dench or Kate Winslet, or even Colin Farrel! Better than seeing Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in it... Although I wouldn't mind seeing.....
SPOILERS....
....seeing the giant in Goblet "Madame Maxim" played by Angelica Houston... Was it in Goblet? I think so..... That's who I imagined in the role
And what about that batty Professer Trelawney? I always saw Maggie Smith playing her, and now I'm confused......
Mad Eye Moody..... possibly Patrick Stewart?
And Rita Skeeter? completely drawing a blank there...
-
Finally people are seeing the film for what it really was.. a mishmash
-
Titanic was a much better film than both TPM and AOTC. Please, I never felt embarrased when i was watching Titanic as I did in both of those Star Wars F..k-ups!
-
I'm going to have to reread it again......
-
Here we go again.......

-
Exactly what Chris said!!!!!
And I too would like to know what Williams thought of AOTC!
-
I think Maggie Smith should have had a theme however since she didn't I voted for Han... and then Amidala
-
I really can't choose......
-
OK Ross,
I understand that you didn't like the music used in sail barge, but what I think we are saying, or at least I am saying is that it was a complete cue, one complete piece of music. In AOTC it was chopped up little pieces of music from 4 different cues. None of it flowed. That is the difference. It was jarring to say the least. You are completely in your right not to like the use of the tie fighter cue, but at least it worked in itself as one piece of music. That is what I was so insulted by in AOTC. Does this make any sense?... see my above post....
-
There's absolutely nothing wrong with adding excitement... What is wrong is changing the plot, the dialogue, the story, that would be wrong. Film is a completely different medium to books, so much has to be condensed yet they have to strive to be faithful but also capture the magic and excitement. It's hard...

And yes, the images are 10 times better already!

I wonder what hector posted......
As for Importance of Being Ernest, it wasn't that good. I was looking forward to it especially with that cast and it wasn;t snappy enough, it lost something. However I loved Gosford Park (because of Maggie Smith) and I know a lot of people who didn't.

I still wish he would drop the Spielberg picture as it sounds like a thriller that many composers could do, and work on Harry Potter, an adventure score that most composers out there could not even tackle, and pretty much all composers who would tackle it would pale in comparason to Williams.
