OK, I'm guessing that when you guys are talking about the Enterprise Theme, you aren't talking about that drivel of a song in front of the new series?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I have to say that my favorite themes are First Contact and TNG. Both are great in different ways. Voyager had a great theme too but sadly DS9 didn't although it was a great series and an even better slate of books now with Avatar onwards.....

How can Mendelssohn npot be on there, I would have chosen that, since it wasn't I go for Tchaikovsky ever so slightly over Korngold, brahms and Walton.

The effects should be 10 times better than the first instalment where the Centaur and Fluffy looked like they should have been in Clash of the Titans!!!
Dobby looks great and the flying car bit was fine too.... It's not Star Wars, it's still got to look like England and all....

If you are looking for the exact music by John Williams, you should only buy the ones that say Hal Leonard John Williams Signature Editions... Cest important qu'ill dit "signature editions". Excuse my spelling in French, I haven't spoken it for 20 years. I have pretty much all of them so far.

Brukhorn, you couldn't be more correct!!! The problem is that Lucas (like Michael Jackson) just has yes men around him. No one to real him in and tell him where he is going wrong. That's the problem when you become that big.... He needs to have some people around him that aren't afraid to say NO and he definitely needs a different writer and director for the third film.

I post a new thread, leave for a day or two and all hell breaks loose...... OK, answer this... Why is it that most of you think that ROTJ is the worst score of the original trillogy yet it's ANH (oops, sorry Neil) that is Ok to be re-scored?

OK, I do agree that it would be nice to have a couple of Imperial March quotes in A New Hope (oops, I know I know, Neil, it's called Star Wars
) What I was thinking of is Return of the Jedi...... When Darth Vader takes his Helmet off and is finally turning back to the good side, after all the time that has passed with him being Darth Vader, it would be so powerful if Anakins theme played poignantly over it, maybe with solo french Horn or something. At least that's what I would do.
That way you also get a Statement from the previous trillogy in a later movie as well.
Just a thought I woke up to. Now I am off to have breakfast.

OK, this is my own opinion and I'm sorry if I offend anyone in advance, but whoever thinks that the Edits in AOTC are OK, or comparable to any other edits EVEN TPM has got to be completely out of their minds and needs their ears checked. It would have been one thing if they had used let's say the droid battle or duel but we have little 30 second snippets of 4 different cues, not only is it jarring to have a cue that you know is from somewhere else, but I mean COME ON!!! We have cues that don't even flow into each other bouncing in every few seconds or minutes... It's so jarring it's like a HUGE MESS OF IDIOTIC SOUND!!!!! The rhythms don't match, the keys don't match, the feel changes all the time... It's STUPID!!! It doesn't work for the film and it doesn't work musically either. :evil:

Both are good actors who had to struggle with blue screen and incredibly bad dialogue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the original trillogies they didn't have all this acting with nothing in front of you. Most was done on location with other actors or actors dressed as creatures. Here not only do you have bad dialogue but you have to act and talk to .... nothing ....

The reason I think that they are putting the trailer in front of Scooby Doo, is to get people in the theatre to see the film. It's probably really bad, so it's good marketing to put a highly anticipated trailer in front of it.

It was already recorded during the Harry Potter sessions. From what I remember hearing, Williams took time at the end of each recording session to record the whole suite... I have no idea what the release schedule is though.
AOTC takes in an estimated $13.9m in its 4th weekend...
