  1. I never noticed that before. Now that you mention it, I think it's also stated in "The Austrian Way" when Vogel punches Indy.
  2. That part's tracked from the duel, right before Luke tosses his saber away.
  3. You better believe you are.
  4. 5. How dramatic. I genuinely sympathize with you.
  6. The first second of "Packet from Dad" has the students shouting, and the last 40 seconds has birds, cars, and a bell in the background, with the party piano playing at the last second. The music of "Inscription on the Rock" is very silent, and you can hear some car horns and motors in the background.
  7. I ripped "Alarm!" from the DVD a few years ago, and on my edit it's 3:05. I did notice an obvious cut, however, that suggests we could get some unheard music. It goes something like this: 0:00 - 0:11 - Cue starts as Henry drops the lighter 0:12 - 0:32 - Music cuts to scherzo as the room lights on fire (it seems to use the exact orchestration from the scherzo statement in 1:08-1:27, particularly the ending suggests this) 0:33 - end - Music cuts to Nazi theme, then at 1:08, the scherzo starts again (sounds like there's a minor 2-second cut around 1:24), then from 1:27 through the end I can't recall anything really distinctive
  8. Allegedly written by Chris Columbus (or someone) as a legitimate draft, turned down for various reasons, including negative stereotyping. Probably based on the comic of the same name, centering on the Spear of Longinus. Pretty sure it's fan fiction, the artifact is Excalibur. Not that great, really. Pretty sure it's fan fiction. Excalibur again, but it read better than Sword of Arthur As for the Saucer Men from Mars... well, from what I've read it's... interesting.
  9. Well, I checked again and realized it matched up better than I thought from my last attempt. Thanks for inspiring me to double-check. I basically just drew that conclusion because those seconds sounded too unnatural to have been composed that way. It really does sound to me though like some sounds are overlapping. Probably.
  10. Sorry if this is all irrelevant to you guys or is already discussed or whatever, but I just wanted to make a few notes of what I found interesting while viewing/ripping the Revenge of the Sith DVD. 1. I checked the first minute or so of "Grievous and the Droids", and it does not seem to match the movie, and I am wondering - is the beginning of the track supposed to score a separate scene? The music seems to match up once Anakin and Obi-Wan break free. 2. When Mace gets killed, it sounds like they tracked an awkward mix of 3:29 - 3:37 of "Enter Lord Vader", and just overlapping the next piece of music. 3. When the clones turn on Obi-Wan, right as the tracked music from The Phantom Menace ends, the last note (accompanied by the ubiquitous drumroll) eludes me, because as far as I can tell, it is not part of the tracked cue, and probably not part of "Anakin's Betrayal", but it would seem pointless to track in just one note, so...
  11. While it is not a highlight of Williams' career, I enjoyed the score of Attack of the Clones...minus all the tracked music.
  12. Yeah, I guess Williams' leitmotif stuck to me after a while. Either way, Goldsmith did a fine job throughout his career. This is the second board where someone responded to my DNA avatar...
  13. Well, one thing about Williams is that his themes are usually tied to a specific character or idea, but what Goldsmith's themes (particularly the last three Star Trek movies) seem to represent seem fairly abstract to me. The title theme from First Contact is hard for me to pin down. There is that one moment where Sybok's theme is played in Nemesis. The last thing that comes immediately to my mind is the theme from the ened credits of Nemesis, although I suppose these could be argued.
  14. There are too many good composers out there to say that Williams is the single best, but he certainly is up there.
  15. -Futurama -The Simpsons -The Critic I love these themes.
