  1. With Disney acquiring the licence it goes without saying that the next film won't be the last entry in the franchise.
  2. In the shows I watch, yes. I can't stand that softcore erotica bollocks in dramas or thrillers, it was the worst aspect of Game of Thrones for me and has me reaching for the remote. Bridgerton is clearly aimed at the Fifty Shades of Shite crowd: women in lockdown. Which is fine, I guess.
  3. Richard, from what I can tell Dame Julie is only the narrator (and she still manages to somehow chew her way through it), and woke agenda is the show's modus operandi. That's a hard pass for me. Plus, it's like 90% shagging. Was there loads of that in Downton then?
  4. My wife is binging Netflix period drama Bridgerton. If I had to watch it with her I'd claw my own eyes out. I cannot fathom how people can actually endure this kind of stuff, it's unbearable to me.
  5. I watched The Revenant and my first thought afterward was, not as good as The Edge.
  6. Whoa, Thor just demonstrated a degree of casual good sense completely alien to the JWFan adminship. What do you think about the pedestrianisation of Norwich City Council?
  7. Only just started it but it's just what I felt like. I never knew I wanted a Karate Kid TV spin off (I wasn't even all that big on the original films).
  8. Compared to The Return it's a doddle. I actually ended up liking FWWM after despising it, years ago.
  9. No because they're both really good, mindless entertainments. And the episodes are short - like The Simpsons!
  10. Cobra Kai is like the ideal companion piece to The Mandalorian. Watch one while the other is unavailable.
  11. Fennec always sounds like antivirus software.

The second half of the Superman score is like the middle part of the E.T. score.

    He's passed away, RIP.
  14. You should try burning books instead of reading them.
  15. It stands up surprisingly quite well on its own, as spooky background ambience while you're chilling online or whatever.
  16. I loved that, best loony sci-fi I've watched in ages. Awesome soundtrack on it.

Williams, but I really love the Goldsmith take on the mythos, he wrote some cracking good music for that old guilty pleasure of a movie. Not to mention that Helen Slater was extremely, erm, informative to me as a kid. Whenever I recall that soundtrack, it is her lovely secondary theme I instantly think about, rather than the main heroic one.
  18. Got tired of seemingly everyone around me going on about it all the time, so I finally caved and watched the first episode of Cobra Kai. Ooohhhhh shit, I'm so onboard with this.
  19. Well if they set it in China and took Mel and Danny's high risk advancing years into account, they could easily give it the title Lethal Wuhan.
