  1. I'll check it out. The CD was a blind buy at a really good price so a bit of an order filler if that makes sense. EDIT: I randomly clicked on this track, and I quite like what I am hearing. Very low-key but pleasantly dreamy.
  2. I still need to get the '76 film on a digital format. I have the NTSC LaserDisc in letterbox.
  3. I'm glad to hear that! It was a blind buy as I enjoy a good war movie.
  4. Yup, it sure has! And I've been happily along for the ride all the way I forget, was the Raiders DCC release the next major Williams expansion after the Anthology? And then E.T. thereafter? I managed to excavate my copies and checked ANH and ESB, and they fortunately appear fine. Whew! Guess I should move them into spare jewel cases as a precaution.
  5. A bonus I found lurking inside the box: Also from Premiere mag, this time 1998.
  6. @GerateWohl May we ask where you got it from? Jay, when you do work for the labels, such as on this title, do they pay you in dollars or in soundtracks?
  7. "And thanks to Sara Horner who had the tapes and was cool with their release, and accepting the inevitably nosy blog posts like this one!" Cool indeed! If only Mrs Barry was so accommodating.
  8. It's pity that 1. Polygram never provided the album masters to the producers and 2. certain cues had to be taken from film stems (the rebel escape from Hoth).
  9. I'm 100% sure it was. I don't have a scanner at home and need to dig my set out, but I'll see if I can post a photo.
  10. I need to check those too then! Bloody digipaks. I fortunately have a spare set of the TPM UE discs.
  11. Yeah I read that on FSM I think. I literally have not looked at mine for more than a decade but I should.
  12. That reminds me, I still need to check my SE digipaks to see whether the discs have gone rotten (apparently a thing caused by the glue used in the cardboard packaging). Fortunately I also have the jewel case versions.
  13. I remember seeing to my utter surprise and elation the listing for this in the Movie Boulevard soundtracks mail-order catalogue in 1994. Shortly thereafter I was browsing through some magazines at the local newsagent and I came across an ad in an issue of Premiere magazine. I promptly bought the mag and proceeded to try to scrutinise the tiny print on the photo to make out which tracks were previously unreleased. I still have a clipping of the ad safely stored within my Anthology box, which I of course ordered promptly on hearing of its release. What a fantastic set this was at the time, and virtually unprecedented if I recall correctly.
  14. What is it about The Perfect Storm that has so many clamouring for an expansion? Is there much significant material that did not make the OST? I'm not that familiar with the score so probably need to look into it.
  15. Not an iOS user, are there any free apps for Windows or MAC? I don't know if uploading copyrighted audio to a web based solution is a good idea, especially as it presumably means some DVD or Blu-ray copy protection was defeated.
  16. Let's hope, but for now there is plenty of other stuff the labels are able to access so I'm looking forward to that.
  17. It's annoying we had to wait so long for these Cameron titles only for them to drop the ball. I mean, even the artwork they chose is absolutely hideous.
  18. Warners is no longer licencing to any of the labels. So no Perfect Storm or The Hand (or Pelican Brief for that matter).
