  1. Zimmer and Wallfisch unveiling the tracklisting later today on FB live
  2. On its own, like BR2049, that's different....but now, it's Whedon - don't forget.
  3. From that interview, it seems like the WW theme and maybe bits of Zimmer's Supes theme are the only bits staying. He even hinted that he isn't keeping the Batman theme from BvS but instead putting in his own old one. Something that was clear from the moment Elfman replaced Junkie - there won't be that same sense of musical continuity between BvS and JL the way there was with MoS/BvS. Same goes for the film itself....
  4. I liked MoS/BvS and am disappointed by this decision and the direction they're taking, so bloody what?
  5. Not OP but - track record - grest cast, except maybe Leto (or his reputation) - the last two: little studio meddling.
  6. OST now available to pre-order, digital release out Oct 6, will have 2CD edition. https://bladerunner2049.shop.musictoday.com/
  7. Villeneuve talks a bit about the score - says it's very much inspired by Vangelis, mentions Wallfisch first before Zimmer, and that 'it's one of the best scores he's heard'. Also confirms the version going out to cinemas is *his* director's cut
  8. Tiny peek of score in this (obviously cut down, as always with these) clip

  10. If they had inside info, they should have added something to the effect of "per our sources, JJ is off the project completely". Every single page I saw who got it 'wrong' was saying that 'Villeneuve revealed that JJ is getting replaced', which is clearly what not he said in the interview. It's not about reading between the lines, it's about good/bad reporting. Thankfully it was only FSR and a few others who had the 'replaced' part, everyone else quoted it accurately.
  11. Yeah, this ^ Anyway, people kept misquoting the interview where DV explicitly said they were just 'helping out' JJ. Not a case of inside info but mistranslations. No news sources claimed more inside info that that interview. But looks like those 'misquotes' were indeed proven correct by the poster, so yes I'm having a dinner of crow
  12. Looks like JJ is indeed officially off the project. Score credited to Zimmer and Wallfisch
  13. (rejected?) demo remix of the main Vangelis theme from Nero:
  14. One is US/Warner Bros, the other is international/Sony. Guess which one is which
  15. The amount of Twitterati saying that JJ is off the project (damn FSR's report) is annoying as hell. And so is people on FSR's forums saying that this is 100% a sign of a troubled production. Like, when did Hans work on this - June. 3/4 months before release. Which is when most films get scored anyway. Compare to GITS where they got Balfe in 3 WEEKS before release.
  16. If it's Craig's last and a SPECTRE follow up, kinda a must, no? I expect this one will be very much influenced by YOLT the novel, but updated to fit the Craig continuity.
  17. Ignore whatever FSM say and refer back to the French Villeneuve quote posted.
  18. If anything - this proves this is less 'studio interference' but Villeneuve (or if you have to - Scott) making this decision, as wrong as you feel it may be
  19. Idk, the way I read the quote is that Villeneuve (or if you really don't buy it okay - Scott. It's really his show to run, not Warners/Sony or even Alcon as much) wanted more than just JJ's atmospherics. Think the use of Richter in Arrival....
  20. For those jumping to conclusions...here's the whole quote in French:
  21. It's an actual editing room interview with Villeneuve from exactly a month ago published in a French magazine.
  22. The way Villeneuve makes it sound here is that they're 'helping out' Johannsson. Not partly replacing him/redoing his cues in like what happened on GITS.
