I was thinking that's a joke, it was critically aclaimed but it was never hugely popular. but it's a critics rating. I was thinking it passed Mash or a Superbowl.Sleey Hollow had a nice cliffhanger, now its a wait till Sept. for the first of the next season. I've been watching Sleepy Hollow on and off mainly because I know one of the writers, and it's set more or less in my neck of the woods. It's been largely decent, but very silly, fun, though they did get quite clever with how they ended this season. It was a pleasant surprise.

Fantastic analysis of a deceptively simple device. It is indeed a staple of much modern classical and film music, such free use of essentially tonal structures. That Langgaard piece is new to me, and it's really something else, with a great organ part no less. It's astounding that it was written in 1918. Scriabin is an old flame, and perhaps it's time to visit him again. And of course who doesn't love Lontano?

Ok yeah, just listened. Seriously fantastic. You've obviously got some very enviable production resources. But more than that, the attention to details like humanizing attacks/phrasings/dynamics etc. and psychoacoustic considerations like proper instrument panning/depth etc. is also impressive. That is what truly makes a mock-up live as much as it can, regardless of the sample libraries or other technology you have.

That's a fair assessment. I wasn't really disappointed though because I had no expectations going in.

In my experience you don't need libraries that are too expensive to get a good result. It's all about how you handle what you've got.
