  1. I suppose I may have been over-zealous haha. I don't disagree with you, but there are moments, maybe moreso in stills like that poster, where things still feel very organic to me. Certainly in no small part due to Alan Lee and John Howe.
  2. Tywin chewing out Cersei or Joffrey are some of the most satisfying moments in television or film, for me.
  3. See I had that reaction when I saw it in 3D, but in 2D it seemed much more familiar. I think that was a lot of it, but I can understand what you're saying. I wonder how much of that is because of the del Toro influence... the stuff that seems a bit more overtly "fantasy."
  4. It does look a tad cartoonish... but it still feels like Jackson's Middle-Earth, if you know what I mean. I think when this trilogy and the LOTR trilogy can be viewed in their entirety, one of the greatest strenghts will be the aesthetic continuity of pretty much every aspect of the films. The world always feels the same, and always real. Say what you will about the tonal consitency....
  5. Everything you do is greatly appreciated Doug! "The Music of The Lord of the Rings Films" is such a treasure both as a composer and a fan of Tolkien in general.
  6. That's disappointing. The Radio City events were some of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had. I actually saw Shore during the Fellowship...it was just me and him standing by the bar. Couldn't bring myself to do the whole "big fan" schpeel.
  7. I'll have to do some digging then, Prometheus. And that's a mighty fine offer Marc. I'd appreciate it.
  8. Taking the plunge and registering in order to play. Hi everyone! #3 is Unbreakable. Nifty little tune. Also, that excerpt from Lost - do you know what cue/what episode it's from? So familiar but I can't place it. ALSO...where exactly do you acquire these full scores?
