  1. You're kidding me, right? The Trek Box set? Lethal Weapon Box Set? The Home Alones? All before 2015. The list goes on and on... I have read some seriously stupid statements over the past 18 years but this one easily constitutes as a top 3 all time dumb ass comments from a score collector. MV
  2. No, customers aren't made of money and a title or two may get left in the dust if they are not spaced out. Why release 8 titles one month and nothing the next?
  3. Let me get this straight, you may or may not have ordered a CD but you dont know if you did or not? Your posts make no sense. Did you order the CD or not?
  4. What do you think we do every month with our flyer? We announce what is done and coming out that month. Black Friday is a special release date we have celebrated for years and every so often we toss in a special release day like April 26. Is it so wrong for us to have fun every once in awhile?

  6. A little respect goes a long way. He is the father of Frank Marshall, producer of a few films you may have heard of. He is also the composer of The Munsters, among a handful of other films and tv projects He also played a hand in getting a young pianist some gigs early on in his career. Care to guess who that young musician was? MV
  7. One has never been released while the other has. Plus Wonder Woman has a huge fan base that goes far beyond the film score fan community. It's a beloved tv show with great music that many folks have fond memories of.
  8. Wonder Woman and X Files were huge and outsold Twister thus far. Voyager is a close 3rd. Braveheart will be back early august. It's not cheap to buy finished goods
  9. You have no idea what you are talking about. Sales have been great. Better than most 1st quarters Twister - nearly 2000 units so far Cliffhanger - 1000 units so far Star Trek Voyager - nearly 1000 units...over 500 on our website alone! Star trek LP - an amazing response. Looking like it might go fast Die Hard - our most requested reissue The only stinker was Justice League Dark but that was a given. Numbers and facts matter. You may think they aren't super exciting but a lot of our customers do.
  10. Are you serious? BIG COUNTRY DEAD LIKE ME DUNWICH HORROR HANG ‘EM HIGH/AVIATOR/BARQUERO ISLAND OF DR. 11. Can't wait for this score, but I am bummed that one of our planned BLACK FRIDAY titles is now delayed until 2014 due to Mr Williams work on this project. Well, at least we get a new work by him in 2013 and one expanded reissue in 2014! MV
  12. Definitely no on LLL having their copies yet. We'll probably never learn how this person got a copy of it but the fact they're offering it for lower than what LLL is asking and is up on ebay BEFORE it even goes up for sale Tuesday is a huge double dose of no. Wait, it's bad that the person is selling it for cheap? Wouldn't everyone be screaming in tears if he charged double? Some dude at the pressing plant probably snagged a copy. Not like some huge mystery. If weeks from now some reviewer or studio person wants to sell their promo copy they got from us I don't care. People do it all the time (Starbucks doesn't pay for itself). The issue here is that this is stolen property plain and simple. Someone at the WEA plant is obviously stealing cds when pressed (look at the other titles he is selling). That's what makes me angry and should outrage the plant as well.
  13. I'll let you guys know when the next "dumpster dive" takes place on oop material. lol MV
  14. You usually have a 6 month window after expiration. After that, the Licensor has the right to take back any unsold product (at no charge to Licensee) or have Licensee destroy said product MV
  15. Robin CBS (the company that entrusted La-La Land Records with their Star Trek franchise) had no prior knowledge of this release until I brought it to their attention (after you started taking orders). So spare ALL of us your lies. You were trying to slide this one by and you got caught. You embarrassed yourself and the composer and now you are further embarrassing yourself. Furthermore, you are not credited or thanked on this release because both CBS and the composer wanted nothing to do with you or acknowledge how you underhandedly acted. We released what J Peter assembled because it was what he wanted and CBS agreed. You are lucky you got out of this as unscathed as you did. Oh, and if you fine folks want another example of how this guy operates go on over to the Intrada Message board and read Roger's post all about ICE PIRATES. Fascinating stuff. MV
  16. Robin There was a mistake in Jason's post. It was DEADLY FRIEND not DEADLY BLESSING that your label released without the proper permission from Warner Bros. You have released some great titles in the past and probably have some wonderful ones in the future. I once told you privately and now I am telling you publicly -- stop doing dumb stuff like being involved in that Safan Promo. If you want to be legit, then act legit. Stop pulling rank amateur bs like being involved in promos or titles that have "questionable rights." If the rights are questionable walk away. When it comes to business, it's black or white -- no gray area. MV
