  1. That's shocking news, poor guy. RIP
  2. Tin Tin, And I LOVED it, The intro was faster than the CD ?? And some of the brass sounded off to me....weird
  3. what I think...*ahem* WHOEVER POSTED THIS IS A FIRST CLASS MORON Yeah, another crappy example of how people cannot comprehend that greatness derives from respecting and moving forward from within the traditionalism of music which has been evolving over thousands of years. Off course there will be similarities, John STUDIED the greats and his music evolved through their legacy. He wasn't born in a cave neither self proclaimed him self a composer by playing a few chords on the keyboard
  4. I think there is an art to it, writing music that becomes one with the film but that it can also stand alone on its own right. That's why I have a huge admiration for the greats, and nearly no admiration for the new wave of so called 'composers'. There is a good reason that the film in The Dark Knight is the way it is. TDN is a very rich film in terms of visuals. I personally feel that a more elaborate music would be like having way too much chocolate. It just wouldn't work. Saying that, as much as I feel it's working within the film, there is no way on this Earth that I would stick the CD on my player. In my view it's unlistenable outside the film.
  5. Sorry buddy, it's just my opinion. It just didn't do it for me. Works great on the film but not a great listen, again imo.
  6. Unlike tons of people here I actually didn't like Prisoner of Azkaban, I found it to be a weak album compared to the other two HP scores and slightly uninteresting (as JW music goes). The flight theme as great as it is it just doesn’t compare to other incredible themes Williams has written.
  7. I think they probably want to get hooked on a melody or riff, and John's latest action music can be probably overwhelming to those who are not use to this kind of music. XD....sooooo true...
  8. Man , that's a big hall, great sounding. I didn't expect that, even though Shawn Murphy's mix is one of my favourite of his on this album, he , I have no idea how, always manages to make a huge orchestra sound smaller
