My biggest worry is that this would be like Sword of Shannarah or Wheel of Time…
 
and so far that’s exactly what it looks like. 
 
I have pretty much no faith in Amazon when it comes to producing original TV and movies.
Every scrap of news that comes out about this show gets worse and worse. 
 
This could be a very expensive flop for Amazon.

I can't be the only one who thinks this looks infinitely superior to what Amazon went with.

I will highly enjoy watching... the videos about in how many ways this sucks ass.

I’m usually over optimistic and forgiving about franchises I like. Plus something about this hasn’t felt right from day one. And Prime’s output seems to be largely crap. 

They should just announce it if there's something to announce.   The teases are only annoying.

The teaser was interesting. The photography reminded me of Tree of Life stuff, which was cool. The voiceover threw me off, especially the rhythm/meter of it, but probably because I'm conditioned to Blanchett's iconic reading. The trailer music was...not good...makes me think more of The Witcher/Wheel of Time-tier fantasy than LOTR, but it is trailer music, so guess I won't judge too harshly. The title is meh.
 
Still have no reason to get excited about this. But will certainly check it out.

Weird hearing another voice read those words outside the Jackson ensemble. I assume the voice-over is supposed to be Galadriel? Was she trying to channel Blanchett or a little girl? (that's what I thought she sounded like). Though she did pronounce Mordor correctly, so there's that. Still think the whole thing feels Wheel of Timeish. 
 
Anyway, the title is sort of awkward.
 
Do we have a release date for this yet?

Yeah, this is my feeling. You know it’s supposed to be the same character but you can’t reconcile the difference in your head. 
 
At least she correctly rolled the Rs in Mordor 

still getting Wheel of Time vibes.
 
I kinda cringed hearing that voiceover. Maybe because it’s familiar words in an unfamiliar voice but Urgh. 

I couldn’t be more completely opposite.  Outside of the Williams  scores and the 3rd film, I actively try to pretend the movies don’t exist.  Pale shadows of the books.

Huh, wasn’t even aware of the comic book.  Will have to track it down on ComiXology.
 
I hope they don’t adapt the effing suburban sneak attack crawl to the sniper from the middle of the game.  I was stuck on that level for like two days.

Multiple reasons
 
-The video games tell a good story, with great, well developed, nuanced characters
-The actors they have chosen are all good
-The head writer is Craig Mazin, the writer of Chernobyl
-Very large budget, general HBO prestige air to it

For me, it's not only the overuse, but that I actually dislike Gia's Spider-Man theme.
 
Of course Goblin's theme appears the most, he's the only villain here brought to do something. Well I guess the others are discovering about the death thing to motivate the plot.
 
It's a pity they don't have Doc Ock surprised at the name "Dr Connors" lol
