Well, it does feel a bit like when they broke with the plan and invited Abrams back after TLJ debacle.

It’s funny. People criticised D&D for changing Theon’s sister’s name in season 2 of GoT. In the books she’s called Asha and in the show she’s Yara. The change was made so as to avoid confusion with Osha who had been introduced as a wildling in season 1. The criticism was it was dumbing it down etc, but some people genuinely do find all the similar sounding names confusing. 
 
it is authentic (in English history pretty much everyone is Henry, George, or Edward) but is it necessary?

The costumes were the most glaring. They look cheap and cosplay like. While Weta did some nice work with swords and the like and the Orcs look good the costumes themselves are terrible.

It's great that nobody in here is focusing on the change from the books for Blood and Cheese. Some people have fixated on it too much but it's clear from reading this thread that people were suitably horrified by what was actually in the show.

Yeah, I can see the logic behind the change with it and Alicent. I think a lot of people forget that the Dance is pretty sparsely sketched out. Ryan Condal has to expand what he has and add characterisation. I think he's doing a great job so far. 
 
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms started filming this week. Great to have Westeros back in Belfast. Must pop up around the Titanic Quarter soon
