Concealed within his fortress, the lord of Remote Control Productions sees all. His influence pierces comic book movies, crime dramas, scifi thrillers, and... fantasies.
He is gathering all sound to him. Very soon he will have summoned an army great enough to launch an assault upon Middle-Earth.

I would prefer a vocalist who can sing. Besides Emiliana Torrini did her best impression of Björk in TTT.

You know what I like about Howard Shore? No populist interviews about how using a special instrument is the most revolutionary idea since original coke.

Doesn't totally belong in here but it's a cool slightly related rumour. I hope it's true!

Not true. Hans Zimmer actually exists. Wish Hans Zimmer was just an idea.

Who cares, it's pretty much impossible for anything beloved to live up to the hype in this internet age anyway. If the web had been huge in 2000 the LotR trilogy would've been deemed a massive disappointment.

I don't know about you guys, but that trailer has actually pumped me up in anticipation for this film. Sure, there are definitely some shots that need work on the CGI, but this film looks like it has much more depth than the first one. The first one was a fun adventure (albeit, a flawed one) but had little character moments and seemed to favour action and set pieces (the troll scene, Gollum scene, goblintown, etc). But here, from the trailer, it looks like there'll be some really great character stuff. Bard and Thorin, Thorin's lust and pride, Gandalf kicking ass, Bilbo and the ring, Smaug (Benedicts voice is quite fitting) and although I'm not a big fan of the predictable route of Tauriels character, I think I can take it. And I loved Bilbo's opening lines in the trailer, kind of sent chills down my spine. Yes, it may look like an overloaded action adventure film, but at the same time, it looks a lot more fun than the first one was. I don't know why I'm strangely optimistic about this today, but colour me excited. Whose with me?
Oh, and with ALL those different new locations, new characters, new action scenes, the music is going to be AWESOME! Shores score is what I'm most excited for. There's just so much happening here (contrary to AUJ, where everything it basically revisits similar LOTR locations and characters) and I think this score has the potential of being the best in the new trilogy. I can see how Shore might be overwhelmed with how much writing he would have to do now.
I wonder how long this movie will be. They're covering a lot more content than AUJ, and that movie was almost 3 hours.

Yup, I think she's interested in writing a screenplay and this really is a nice way (for her of starting it) as stated she doesn't work for money anymore. She doesn't need to.It could be fun, it could be great, or it could be absolutely terrible it's far to early to tell. Put me down in the intrigued pile.

Maybe the could time the lens flare and the BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMS to occur at the same time. Every time there's a lens flare on screen then.... BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!

At this point I can't really justify paying for both - just too many expenses at once. Maybe there will be a London performance somewhere down the line.

I don't find her that boring. She doesn't really have a multitude of scenes and the score is generally excellent when she's onscreen. No complaints here.

Crossing the bridge of Khazad dum always looked like digital doubles to me and there's a bit before the Balrog appears where you see a a CGI cloud of dust.
None of them bother me though,
