Sorry to be late to the party, but I just discovered all these "Restored" threads. I like them!

Great and moving montage!

If it's really Mangold who directs 'Dawn of the Jedi,' it completely bursts my bubble. It will be a film made by a pretty basic straight guy, for basic straight guys*, without any magic or poetry. I mean, you understand... It will be raw and violent... and forgettable. I dreamed of something better for this period of the Star Wars Universe that interests me a lot. * This is my way of contrasting directing styles like those of Lucas or Spielberg, who yes, are straight, but who have a sensitivity that can also be feminine and childlike. Mangold is I think incapable of that.

First, I scrolled up too fast, so now I have a headache, and then, finally, it needs practically every cue from the score. So finally, I'll isten to the whole score!

They'll probably announce that the title of Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 will be "Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon", and that it will be a movie instead. 😄

Okay, so it's intended as a direct sequel to the series? That's risky. I hope at best it would be a standalone movie that everybody could enjoy, even if they've never seen the series. And, well, if Disney said that, yes, it's intended as the fourth and final season of the series, but no, you don't need to have seen the first three seasons to enjoy it... Well, does that mean the first three seasons were crap?

Well, I think you'll be even more surprised when you see it on the winners' list!

I already had my eye on the "Laurence Rosenthal" (from Film Fest Gent), so I'm not surprised it's among the nominees. I'm a little surprised that no "James Horner" expansions made the nomination list, but it suits me, as I can't decide for myself if I really need any of them.

Trying to give another listen to the OST, I realized that it contains unbearable dialogues. Has anyone made a breakdown of which cues from the score are needed to reproduce the OST?

As far as I'm concerned, this seems to be another bad decision from Disney. I believe once again they've greenlit a project that only has a title and no definite script yet. Going back to "The Mandalorian" series, adding "& Grogu" to the movie title is a final disavowal of the poor masked character, who would be quite bland without his partner Grogu, without whom the series would have sunk into the Sarlacc long ago... With this film, Disney wants to capitalize on "Baby Yoda" (Isn't he adorable?) that everyone now knows, although probably few of them have actually seen an episode of Mandalorian. When you make a film around the popularity of a "cute" character rather than around a good story, it rarely results in a memorable product.

I tried really hard to connect with this movie, but for some reason I can't quite define, it never clicked for me. As a child of the 80s, this movie belongs to the era of many films I cherished during my childhood, yet this one is absent from my memories.
