Only the questions he thinks Shore shouldn't answer!

Remember when you guys used to talk about Shore's music? Yeah...it was awhile ago. Those were fun times though.
I guess I could see how the subject matter would change once everyone on here became experts in color correction and film budgets.

I think you guys need to stick to music...
DOS had serious problems with VFX and looking fake, but the color grading is definitely one of the best things it has going for it. AUJ on the other hand...
Maybe you all should get better TVs?

Or have people become so desensitized and cluttered that they can't appreciate it? People's attention spans are so short and they are so overstimulated that unless they hear things like the 'Misty Mountain' theme, they get bored.
It seems pretty clear to me that the people who actually understand music, and have good taste in music (not just pop culture) are raving about the DOS score.

It's not hard to guess that this score should be an Academy contender…based on what wins each year.

I'll once again point to the entire Moria sequence here. Many of the highlights from FotR are to be found there, played deftly by the NZSO. I don't think there's anything to worry about. What might bother me more than any difference in ensemble is the difference in engineers - AUJ had a very close, over-produced kind of sound compared to the original scores. I want that more "archaic" sound that Shore talks about in Doug's book back.
