What is the Best Spielberg Motion Picture?
AOTC#1 replied to Luke Skywalker's topic in General Discussion
What the hell is the matter with you? Ray Barnsbury - who voted for E.T. I didn't mean it the way it sounds, but at the body farm at UT, and we study murder, and so we even use films as a study tool, and believe it or not Mr. Spielberg's depiction of death is highly accurate. I should have explained it a little better than I did. -

I'm not the nemesis of anyone here, I like what I like and I don't really care who does or does not like what I like. I do like Superman, so I guess Joe and I have something in common, but he's older than my dad, so he can't understand what or why I do like. I mean seriously, not everything made today is bad, I really liked all the Harry Potter stuff, even P. Doyles stuff, and who doesn't like the LOTR stuff, its so cool. whats wrong with my profile, I guess its the dissection part, look, its something I like, its something I am good at. Its a lost art, and its not just physical dissection, but also through advanced imagery technology. I hope someday to use my abilities in the FBI working to catch serial killers. Its facinating work. -

Well I don't let polls tell me what I should like or not. My mom and dad think ET is this awesome untouchable movie, but its boring, and its a rip off of Star Wars anyways, all the references and such. Like I said the music is ok, but after hearing it while waiting in line at the ET ride, enough is enough -

ET is for little kids, its so annoying, I mean the music is ok, barely, but the movie blows chunks. -
I'm surprised no ones said Pirates of the Caribbean, I really like it alot, it reminds me of the music on the Iron Chef.

Schindler's List is good, and I voted for it. Jaws is just to fake looking to watch, I mean really you can see the wires. Raiders is too slow, I prefer the Last Crusade because its the funniest and the most real. I love SPR, especially the opening battle, I bet I've watched it 200 times, I love to see that one dude get his face blown off, thats so tight, but like I said I voted for SL, because its so awesome when the Nazi dude shoots the Jewish chick, and the side of her head blows out. My buddies and I did screen shots of it in slow motion, its so cool, -

Yeah I've lurked here for awhile and I am amazed by the attitude that some here have towards AOTC. I mean really its just a great score. Zam the Assasin is just the most amazing piece of music, and I don't think I have ever heard a more beautiful and lovely work than Across the Stars. I just think that some of the older JW fans have just lost touch with John's music. What they see as a step backwards, is in reality growth, and development in his style. But I've noticed that the more older the people are the less enlightened they seem to be, and they are not as accepting of change as we are. By the way I am 19, and while I wish to be a musician, I have no musical talent. Still, I know what I like, and its John's newer stuff, his older stuff is ok, but I mean really its overrated by todays standards. I wish the older members were more like JW himself, you can tell his heart and mind are still young and in touch, the older members should try that for a change. -

I'm new and I voted Stanley and Iris, I got into film music because of TPM, and its my 2nd favorite, but my favorite is Attack of the Clones, its the greatest score I've ever heard. Its awesome, and I have every cover available.
