  1. now the question is, did that bring good fortune or misfortunes...
  2. yeah, a very ironic name, doesn't describe the company at all.
  3. yep, Mark Mancina certainly was a member of Remote Control Productions
  4. I didn't suffer any bad luck, though, except the one time I played a cue from the omen.
  5. I can imagine then the looks on peoples faces any time someone called you while you were out.
  6. exactly, I doubt a pastor would ever purchase the Omen score to become familiar with the melody.
  7. I'm a young person and I don't like Zimmer, but I think its the Rock&Roll fans that seem to like Zimmer the best. Like usually when i'm with other kids and I have my ipod only three songs will be requested to be played: Imperial March, Raider's March, and He's a Pirate. The majority of kids choosing the PotC seem to prefer rock over hip hop.
  8. ditto, all the way down to the same store, except I usually only buy things at virgin records when I'm at the one in Walt Disney World, but my record is only nine cd's purchased.
  9. well, my rating for citizen kane hasn't changed, just my reasons for not liking it have. I find the instrumentation rather, irritating, although it can be fun at times. ***/*****
  10. did that ringtone actually have the "lyrics"?
  11. "The Float" Plenty of tracks from the Terminal Patton Midway
  12. I most certainly am, it looks even worse when scrolling down really fast.
  13. I found that Orchestra version on the internet, but it won't load for me. I'm sure it will sound as bland.
  14. My opinion over North by Northwest hasn't changed much. I've found a few more exciting cues, especially towards the end, but a lot of it I found tedious. I guess today i'll listen to Citizen Kane. Prelude
  15. I've heard Beltrami only used Goldsmith's theme in the end credits, but I'm not a 100% on that. P.S. Where there any other people who are superstitious and did not play the Omen theme yesterday? tell me I'm not the only one.
  16. seems so, except without any discussion of genetics
  17. well, what I heard during the movie isn't anything like what I've heard so far from the SR clips, so don't kick yourself over missing the Fantastic Four score, which is mediocre at best.
  18. thats how most people are. I've seem to notice that people who are die-hard rock fans also seem to be attracted to the MV style. Also thats just his opinion, and I doubt he's heard any of the great pirate scores. Rosalie, one of the songs that started to turn me away from North by Northwest
  19. he's the composer of pirates of penznace, as for the similarities between him and John Williams, I listened to a thirty second clip from the two songs, and saw some similarities between across the stars and the princess, but its hard to compare John Williams to an opera...
  20. hmm, this is going to be abrupt... I find music more expressive then words, for instance last year I had to right a descriptive paragraph describing my backyard, however, I found it much easier to find a classical song to describe it, but of course that couldn't count... :spiny: The Wild Ride, which seems to be more exciting and less repetitive the second time around
  21. well, I like the overture, but I haven't really been able to get into it much, maybe I just have to spend an hour listening to the whole thing
  22. exactly what I thought, unless you mean a totally different maestro altogether. edit: just checked imdb and there is some animated movie called evolution which came out in 1971, which if this is the movie, it may also prove why Williams has never scored an animated movie... only problem though, is that its a short film...
  23. maybe its because I haven't seen any of his films... oh, and what I've listened to from Vertigo does sound good.
