  1. I guess I'm the other one. wow, lol, so there are only two people not on here that haven't read the bock, LOL
  2. hmm for US, i expect disney to be lucky, no matter the quality of the films. Pixar is always a box office smash, and if you look on any disney forums the POTC2 is WAY overhyped, I don't think it will matter how good it is, POTC2 should be the top 1. POTC2 2. Cars 3. Mission Impossible III 4. Superman 5. Da Vinci Code or Xmen III 6. ditto 7. Poseidon
  3. well i'll be listing scores that are more recognizable to most people , Indiana Jones, Good Bad and Ugly, 2001: Space Oddyssey, all come to mind rather quickly. I'm sure alot of people will also readily recognize disney soundtracks, but not scores.
  4. Watched Alien for the first time last night. I thought it was very very good, and the tension and horror definitely timed better then Jaws, lol. But watching really makes me want to find a deal on the score.
  5. i'll be seeing it, but does anyone know if it has been rated yet?
  6. 677 songs, 1.8 days, 2.50 gigabytes total 1426 songs, 3.7 days, 4.88 gigs
  7. well, at least he's not pretty much abandoning all of the themes like Doyle, but we still have to see how well he's going to use them.
  8. i know exactly what your talking about, but i'm not sure what its called either
  9. lol, your right, I don't know what any of the track titles mean, lol. But so far they sound very good. The second sample has a little hint of typical zimmer, but other then that it sounds like a very powerful score.
  10. I've too been listening to the samples from Da Vinci code, and I have to admit that this score may actually be really good. Definitely better then what Horner would have done, lol.
  11. and I think tony's post proves Tim's post, lol
  12. Cutthroat Island, Jaws, Hook, and Sea Hawk all have a great swashbuckling feel, as has been said sever times before
  13. hmm, i'm not sure if i'm crazy but does Rachmoniff's Moscow Bells sounds quite simlar imo to Cinques Theme, but I don't think that was actually deliberate
  14. this is something thats always bothered me, but I guess its just really a tad bit of laziness
  15. i'll post whatever i've composed (i'm only just starting and I can only compose for Piano, though i'm sure other insturments can't be too hard) as soon as I get finale for my birthday
  16. wow, sounds like a great night, makes all the bigger shame for me that Miami isn't exactly this genre's prime location, lol
  17. well, 3-d might work if you can have a 3-d movie thats any good, plus a movie you can actually see while wearing the glasses without paying i-max prices.
  18. Lost Psycho Citizen Kane King Kong Signs Back to the Future Part II
  19. i must admit, none of these shows are too my taste
  20. interesting compilation, one of the few where the most "popular" themes are POTC and rocky
  21. well, now that your a member I think you can now discuss with other wiki members on articles that should be added, lol
