Very surprising, very sad.

The score. I like the Indiana Jones movies a lot, but I could live without another. A new JW score, though... that's hard to beat.

I'm genuinely shocked that I don't see the ST:TMP poster in here yet.

I may look at this list tomorrow and wonder what the hell I was thinking, but here it is: 1. The Empire Strikes Back 2. The Fellowship of the Ring 3. The Village 4. Signs 5. Batman

Best Twilight Zone Original Series Episode
SomeNewGuy replied to indy4's topic in General Discussion
There's no possible way I could vote for one episode over another. Too many of them are too good. -
Amen. I'm trying not to form an opinion until I see the movie. If there's one thing I've learned about Shyamalan flicks, it's that no advertisement for them will ever be quite accurate. I'd be lying, though, if I said I didn't have a bad feeling about this one. Here's hoping ol' Night can assuage my doubts.

I use two sets of headphones: a cheap pair of Sony earbuds ($15) and Sennheiser's HD-280 Pro model ($80). Both perform admirably for their prices, in my opinion.

1. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas 2. The Nightmare Before Christmas 3. The Incredibles 4. The Simpsons Movie 5. Ratatouille All I've got. I've always wanted Beauty and the Beast (love the Prologue and Transformation) and Mulan, though.

C. Acceptable, but not a whole lot more than that.
-
Wow. I guess I really need to pick it up.

Grade Ratatouille by Michael Giacchino
SomeNewGuy replied to BLUMENKOHL's topic in General Discussion
B- is absolutely right. Solid all around with flashes of high quality. -
What a dismal year this has been. 2006 was great by comparison.

It wasn't genius, it was an attempt to mix things up for the sake of freshness (it was also pretty obvious what was going on for most of the episode). They were losing critics and viewers alike, so they came up with a new twist to try to win them back. It's impossible to tell if the flash forward will wind up being a good or bad move until we see the seasons to come. Just look at the third season finale of Battlestar Galactica. I have faith that the writers will be able to write their way out of the jam they created, but things could still go horribly wrong and the show could be ruined. Damn,

"The Fury" Epilogue vs. "Dracula" End Titles
SomeNewGuy replied to finalscore's topic in General Discussion
The Fury takes it. Epilogue is about fifteenth on my list of favorite Williams cues.
