  1. Well, Harry Gregson-Williams ain't much to look at, so you know, take what you can.
  2. Yeah, I think he's a little over-qualified, frankly. He's a good actor, and he is a conductor? That's just creepy, like he was born to play John Williams.
  3. Bullitt? Ok here is another clue for my #1, which I can't believe noone knows...this film was a huge box office hit in the early 80's, shortly after E.T.
  4. Thanks for the advice Now I have to find myself a date That's the way, you pick the film that is right for you, then choose the biyatch that fits the movie.
  5. I posted this site in another thread, here you can hear an interview with HGW, in which he goes into detail about what happened with Kingdom of Heaven, and all sorts of other things relating to his career. I don't even like the guys music, but he does give a great interview. http://www.stageandscreenonline.com/downlo...n-williams.html
  6. Because he is the 4th wheel in the well-oiled percussion machine? It looks to me like he is sitting in on this session, for practise. He might as well be playing snare, better than Timpani or mimicking that rather robust looking fellow doing Cymbals.
  7. Really Alex, I think you blew your pennies with Finding Neverland, I wouldn't force the naughtiest child to watch that pile of doggarbage. Sin City and The Sheltering Sky are good though.
  8. Correct, Ray Barnsbury, #2 is E.T #1, here is the clue; there is no actual atomic explosion in this film.
  9. I don't know. there have been so many. I am a Williams freak. I'd stalk him if I could.
  10. The Morlock's one is From Dusk till Dawn. Pixie's is possibly Amadeus.
  11. Of course there have been "aliens" on this planet, they were just here many thousands of years ago.
  12. I find it kind of ghastly. Wouldn't be so bad if Williams hadn't been thrown in the soup..
  13. The AI wishes thusly Javier Navarrete David Arnold & Chris Cornell The 3rd part I don't give a flying eff about. Thus washe the AI.
  14. I know it too! but I just can't place it.
  15. It's not bad, it has the technical side of Williams, but it doesn't have his soul.
  16. Sure, this thread is a train wreck, but it's a glorious, spectacular train wreck...
  17. http://www.stageandscreenonline.com/downloads/ Vote on the right side poll for a man called JTW. There are a lot of very informative, long audio interviews on this page also. Including David Newman. The Harry-Gregson Williams is really good, even though I despise his music. he mentions JW a bit, about being booted out of Abbey Road Studio one, because he was recording HP.
  18. MV changed all that. 2002 is a long time ago. (in film music terms)
  19. I suggest you don't kowtow to these kind of pretentious demands. If a Director starts asking for these kind of things, they don't know what they are talking about. They just think it's artistic to have an all percussion cue for something like a death scene. It's horsegarbage. You tell him what for, make your case and stand by it.
  20. Clint Eastwood gets my vote. Runner up: Rolfe Kent
  21. That's because the pilot US episode was written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, (The writers of the BBC version) Excellent purchase, btw.
  22. Who is this effing prat? Irony indeed, I 'll give him an iron to the teeth. If that c-word speaks that way about my music, I'll punch his effing lights out.
