  1. Is that raw midi file available anywhere?
  2. Indeed I remember going "hell yes" to myself when I heard this theme for the first time in the theater.
  3. Wow...I was just listening to Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 Allegro non troppo...at about the 1:40 mark...well, let's just say the Maestro likely did a little borrowing for The Adventures of Mutt. ...Wow, crap...I'm listening more and this piece sounds straight out of KOTCS...weird!!
  4. fell asleep 1 hour into it. didn't bother watching it again. in fact, that movie was so boring i forgot about how bad it was. hmmm.
  5. I'm surprised that you people are so quick to jump on something taken so far out of context. What do you mean you people?
  6. No question it would start like this: 1. The Asteroid Field 2. The Forest Battle 3. The Asteroid Field (again)
  7. No question it would start like this: 1. The Asteroid Field 2. The Forest Battle 3. The Asteroid Field (again)
  8. Um, duh....Why did this take so long to get listed? I don't even like ET, but that ending is pretty effing amazing.
  9. Thanks for this post. It makes me proud to be a member of this board.
  10. I really enjoyed the remake. I was shocked it got such bad reviews. I have not seen the original -- maybe that's the reason I liked it. I saw Milk (a good movie) a few nights later and I must say I enjoyed TDTESS more than Milk. Then again I like The Phantom Menace so what do I know.
  11. No KOTCS is almost as good as the other 3 Indys. People have simply become desensitized. (The real end of story here).
  12. Can't believe they have Spiderman but no Batman. Has anyone ever heard Batman live??
  13. Oh believe me I need bedroom fun as bad as anyone here. Yes I read that post over and over and it's absolutely fascinating. Doesn't anyone else get it? It's not even comical -- it's just amazing, astonishing, etc.
  14. I read this post multiple times and I've decided someone should write a paper on it. This is a rare example of one of the few instances where freedom of speech looks like a bad thing.
  15. After about 1 week of use, he would undoubtedly tell some of us to get off the computer and GO GET LAID!!!!
  16. I was just listening to the Nutcracker and I feel that so many of these pieces are utterly beautiful.
  17. How long do you think it will take to find that bin laden guy?
  18. Holy f*kn cr@p, I just saw Pan's Labyrinth for the 1st time Saturday night! What an incredible film! My life is forever changed! Clearly the best film of 2006!
  19. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I like it too.
  20. Ya I could not agree more. TOD is clearly among the most underrated film scores. I want the same drugs JW was on when he wrote this. I can't think of another example where you've had a counterpoint that worked this well. And NEVER in a film score, at least not that distinctly. Could be wrong there, though. And the harmony on the Raiders march comes out right off the bat, sounding very...mmmm....appropriate for being somewhere in India or wherever they are.
  21. I remember seeing TLW's glass cracking sequence, thinking "Only effing Spielberg could put this on film!" Brilliant. And climbing back up the cliff with the crescendo is magical. The Isla Nublar arrival is also effing perfect. That 10 minute sequence is superb, everything about it. It was not only a great movie moment, but also HISTORICALLY and SYMBOLICALLY as well. The fact that you reveal CGI -- the future of blockbuster filmmaking -- with a dinosaur of all things! That's so awesome. You could easily write an entire book on why the Isla Nublar arrival PWNS!!!!!
