Wow, this is hard. I choose.....both.

Thanks for the comment red rabbit!

Star Wars in general is kind of an obsession for me and when AFI declared the soundtrack to be the greatest,I just couldn't believe it because I thought Gone With The Wind was a lock.To anyone who is even remotely serious about soundtrack work and/or orchestration I always tell them to get a copy of A New Hope.I believe it is just that indespensible.
I thought Howard Shore did an excellent job on Se7en.
Your welcome Sky! The Battle of Yavin is one of the best action cues I have ever heard. I'm also a big fan of anything Star Wars.

Memoirs of a Geisha was the first Spielberg produced film to have a Williams score.
Thats kinda surprising.

hans zimmer is dope.
Well that made my day. -

If Vangelis had to win an Oscar it should have been for Blade Runner instead of Chariots of Fire.
Perhaps, but it's easy to understand why that didn't happen. Blade Runner is one of the greatest scores ever but it's not for granddaddies. Chariots Of Fire, with its simple yet vigorous sing-a-long qualities, meets these qualifications much better.
LOL If Blade Runner is just electronic screeches, then it is the best screeches I have ever heard.

Jason X pretty much failed at everything.

They both deserve what they have recieved.

Wow, your certainly a big fan.

Peter Pan is only good if you don't compare it to Hook.

For once I agree with JoeinAr (about SR, that is). I strongly disagree with King Mark.

Yeah Time Enough At Last was very good, but always kinda depressed me. I also liked The Howling Man and Eye of the Beholder.

Sure but if you look at it that way then Phantom Menace and AOTC never had a chance to begin with. If you watch either one of those two with no surrounding story, then they're pretty bad methinks.
I never said that I viewed each without the surrounding story. One of the best things about watching PM now is that you can see the seeds of destruction in Anakin and Palpatine's plan in its enfancy.

Does that really get him banished?

Which do you think is better, X3 or DMC?

One of my favorites is The Monsters are Due on Maple Street.

Here's a 3-Disc track list: it's an image.
If you notice on that image you posted Breathmask, it says that the track You Are the Pan is 4 minutes long. Now, how can that be?

I view the films as individual parts to a whole tale. However, that doesn't mean that I can't choose which is my favorite. The Lord of the Rings is the same way.

All of your critiques, TheRulesofThirds, were just opinion. But seriously, who cares if Luthor's henchman aren't fat or if Superman disrobes in mid-air?
-
Empire is still the best in my opinion.
-
Well, everyone has their opinions. But I don't agree with you.
-
I saw it yesterday and loved it.
-
As much as I dislike Zimmer, I do enjoy The Lion King.
-
I saw Superman Returns yesterday and I loved it!

You can find the 3-disc bootleg on raresoundtracks.com.

Hook has had a bad reputation for many years, but I have yet to meet a person who doesn't like it. It is, in my opinion, Spielberg's most underrated. And yes, I like it a LOT more than POTC.
