Hook's secondary theme from Hook has some similarity to Harry Potter's Hedwig theme.

Some times it takes time before you can truely appreciate a great work.

There is some similarity to Across the Stars and Flight to Neverland but I believe it has been disproven that they are exactly the same.

There is a scene in Hook where a male chorus sings the pirate theme. The second note is inverted, so it sounds suspiciously like the Emperor's theme. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not.

What about in episode four when the spaceships fly past Yavin 4 to confront the Death Star?

Well Cerrabore, I don't know what to tell you. I suppose I am impressionable, since I did not change my opinion to garner pity. Why would I do that? To be honest I have never really liked POTC, but I had just noticed the intense dislike for it here and wanted to ask about it.

My taste is pretty varied. But like most people on this board the majority of what I listen to is film/video game music.

I think I understand why POTC is so hated. Its because it sucks and I know that now.

Its not really a score but I just finished Williams on Williams the Spielberg compilation album. It has great Hook music on it.

Why does everyone hate the first POTC score? I thought it was decent enough, no Williams score but still servicable.

This film is probably one (if not the best) of the best science fiction films have ever seen. I'm glad that it is finally getting a complete DVD with every version.
