I think the thing I love most about the Prologue and Montage is how a lot of the undercurrent of the cue anticipates the more aggressive build-up motif in the intersection scene (the repeated 3 notes).

I was listening to the part in AUJ 2-01 The Hidden Valley that starts at about 3:14, (in the movie when Elrond and his troop surround the Company), and to me it sounds almost like a brassy, militaristic version of the Rivendell theme?
