Did Snoke come into the picture when the idea of the Emperor coming back was dropped? Would the Emperor still have come back for final film if Snoke was still alive?

My question is why are the bad guys chasing them on wheels instead of using a hovering vehicle? The FO doesn’t have efficient vehicles for the desert?

I agree. The little bit sounds good and I'm eager hear it in the context of a full cue (assuming it's released). The music works much better through headphones - it got a little lost when I listened through my speakers. Is there an edit at :20 when the first trooper is launched?

Johnson not knowing a thing about his future SW movies is not a good thing. They'll need at least two years to make the first film and it's apparent he hasn't written any scripts. Then again, it seems Lucasfilm hasn't prepared anything at all for the 2022 film... at least publicly.

Overall, ROTJ is way better score than TFA. I don’t see how Williams could create a “balanced” score for ROTJ when the first 40 minutes have nothing to do with the rest of the film. At least with TFA, Rey is essentially featured from start to finish allowing Williams to create a theme for her and utilize it throughout the film.

I see Disney has updated the five films. Still no downloads or TROS, though. As you said, TROS probably won't be up until it's released.

I wouldn’t be surprised if weren’t still making some modifications/edits to the film at this point. I doubt it’s anything major but who knows with JJ on board. If it’s any indication, we know the score for TFA was being worked on into November in 2015. TLJ had been in the can for months at this point in 2017.

I feel like if they made the ST in the 80s or even when the PT trilogy was made, she would have been a Jedi. By the time the ST came around, Fisher was too old to be portrayed as an active Jedi... maybe they could have gotten away with her being a retired Jedi.

Have they been airing TV spots? I watch a few shows on ABC but I haven't seen any spots except one for a SW game (I think?). Then again, I fast forward through all the commercials - I rarely watch any live anymore. The Mandalorian (and Disney+ in general) has also gotten a lot of attention on Freeform.

One would think they would be packed out since Disney Atom reported that TROS sold 45% more tickets on its site than Endgame in its first hour.

I think they should be afraid after Solo and all the bad publicity lately. I live in Houston and out of curiosity, I've looked at the seating selection for the first showings at various theaters around the city. Most of them around half full, a few 80-90% but none of them sold out, yet. I would have expected more ticket sales from the 4th largest city in the US but maybe there aren't a lot of SW fans here. The IMAX 3D showing I booked isn't even half full yet. This may not be an indicator of anything (maybe a lot of people don't buy tickets ahead of time) but it's interesting to look at regardless. And from what I've seen, they're not cheap either... especially Legos. I certainly didn't have that kind of pocket money when I was a kid but maybe nowadays they're gearing SW toys more for adults who are collectors.

When were the OSTs listed for TFA and TLJ? I'm too lazy to look.

That's actually a lot of minutes of screen time for just footage that was cobbled together to make something presumably coherent. I wonder many lines they gave her and if they edited existing sound bites or brought in an actress to dub her lines?

I'm guessing their waiting to make any real decisions until after TROS is released. From what I've read, it'll either be a huge success or a big flop. I'm guessing it will be financially successful but won't bring in TFA numbers. It's hard to gauge since the opinions of TROS are all over the place on social media.

What I want to know is if the Emperor has been around this whole time, then what was the point of Snoke? Was Snoke actually the Emperor all along? He seemed to be quite powerful...moreso than the Emperor in some instances.

I think Johnson’s trilogy will get the axe, too... he recently said in an interview that he has no update yet he’s still working with Lucasfilm while they figure things out. How is he supposed to plan his future projects if Disney keeps him hanging? It’s probably for the best since Johnson’s new characters in TLJ are among the least interesting and compelling of the saga. I can’t imagine him creating a fresh and exciting batch of characters for a new trilogy.
