It's a shame, because most of this information won't see the light of day, especially in the reign of Disney who will want to keep Lucasfilm operations a private affair until they can release a homogenized version of the events at a later time. Lucas, too has become extremely remorseful over the years. It's fascinating to hear about Rinzler's time being around him and the production because underneath it all, there's no conspiracies, no cover ups, no hissy fits, it's just the sad, overexposed life of a director and his company, and how his creation became bigger than he ever imagined.

All three aren't really on the cards - Chibnall apparently has a fresh slate, yet I wouldn't mind seeing a Jack return. There's no way of telling if Jack or the Tenth Doctor, or Jenny will return, but if they do, they'll most likely survive in the audio books etc. I get the feeling they were more of the Tenth Doctor's companions, and Jack especially had his goodbyes with the End of Time farewell sequence.

Although I would say that the score for Rogue One wasn't exactly fantastic, I think it does make a better listening experience in the FYC/complete score than it does on album. When you have a comparatively weaker score, why not make it a two-disc release and just include everything?

Interstellar was a wonderful score with an emotional core.

Both good, expressive scores, yet his recent output has been somewhat of a mixed bag.

I haven't heard Valerian yet anyway, but I'm talking from my posterior anyway!

A better comparison would be Giacchino's Jupiter Ascending vs. Desplat's Valerian!

It's not going to end as long as people have opinions. It is grating as I've said earlier that it's essentially the same tired things repeated, all hanging on the standards of those who are critical of Giacchino's work. Most of the time, it's harmless trolling, Zimmer and RCP receive more flak, yet often get a pass ''because innovation". I don't think it's likely to die down either, as Giacchino is offered more projects that might infringe on people's tastes. I say: suck it up, take the noise of opinions on both sides and then relegate it to the back of your mind until something else comes along!
