  1. Does anyone think there might be new material or just a reimagining/ rearrangement of the old stuff?
  2. E.T. and Elliot just misses the old days and who can blame him. Would anyone rather have no new Williams music at all?
  3. We should have seen it coming. This is brilliant! The music fits like a glove!
  4. Howard Shore is the missing factor here. If he had any input these songs would have benefited so much.
  5. JFC, 21 pages of discussion and it was worth reading it. I think there are scientific details in many films where *I* could say 'WTF? That's just unbelievable it's ridiculous. In real life it would have been...' and that's pretty much how I react to many films now that I think more about it. As hard as it is for me to remind myself that firstly it's fictional and more important, secondly I'm not an astrophysicist or a theoretical physicist and many things are unbelievable to me.
  6. I wish MOS had more Krypton material as that was miles better than the rest of the film.
  7. Nolan's mirror universe version wrote MOS, he's caled 'Nalon'. Man of Shit
  8. I saw this on the weekend. Amazing film and I was skeptical going in considering I thought MOS was a joke and TDKR was sub-par.
  9. James Newton Howard conference called PJ when scoring King Kong, wouldn't it safe to assume that the same scenario happened here? Time constraints and perhaps Shore being able to write from the comfort of his own home? Or is there some feud between Shore and PJ?
  10. Actually, to me Desolation and Journey sound different from LOTR scores. Desolation and Journey sound different from eachother as well. Is it just me or there a lot more Williams style brass sound in Desolation - perhaps an influence of Pope?
  11. George Lucas is responsible for calling Across the Stars as the first Love theme.
  12. Because Jaws 2 sees you. Not the other way about.
  13. He has tapes recorded of everything he does. Apparently there are 18 minutes missing from those tapes he made public.
  14. Williams' handlers are doing a better job than Obama's then.
  15. Does it still spin? Maybe they'll try to spin it and it breaks or...Nedry's skeleton is under it?
  16. I need this to breathe! No seriously, I play that bit on my eighth dvd copy of the film on repeat every five minutes.
  17. It's a small town where everyone has a drug habit.
  18. The song used for the end of season 4 was fitting and in a way nicely sums up the entire show in a way.
  19. Gandalf was only imprisoned and I liken it to the telling in the Ralph Bakshi film. He was rescued and just kept the same staff. The duel in Orthanc in the film necessitates a new staff and so it wouldn't be too unrealistic to fashion a new staff at Rivendell. Afterall, the props were based off upturned tree roots. The second White staff is only a problem if you accept the EE scene as canon. The theatrical edition just has him without a staff until after the battle. I'm trying to rationalize away editing decisions at the end of the day
  20. He somehow acquired a new one in Rivendell. The prop labels describe the second fellowship staff as "Rivendell to Moria".
  21. What, you finally gave into Seth MacFarlane?
