    Nope, just normal trailer music.
I think it's neat that Giacchino gets such high billing in this. He's been the first name on the credits list for the past few trailers/featurettes, and in the first teaser, he was right under Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. I don't think I've seen that happen for a composer before (not saying that it hasn't happened--I just haven't seen it).

The character and world of Batman obviously feels a more natural fit for that that flavour of narrative. But this is like they just have forcibly and possibly awkwardly thrust Superman into his latest movie. But we'll see.

I watched the trailer and it does look VERY good, stylistically. But I just can't get my head around the central concept - a conflict between Superman and Batman. And that it is to be a convincing one. It just seems a ludicrous prospect to me.
"Do you bleed? You will." Heh heh, erm... hmmm.
Another concern for anyone with more than half a brain and good taste should be the narration, the obviously central and oh so modern themes. It was all a bit Paul Haggis.

Not showing any dino's in 2015, after three movies would be marketing suicide...
The could have not shown the indominus rex though.

    I'm fine with JP3.
And i'm fine with Jurassic world too.

The Force Awakens second teaser was an excellent trailer. Didn't give too much away and just enough to keep you guessing and wanting more. The first teaser for JP back in 1993 didn't show any dinosaurs, just people's reactions. These modern trailers just give everything away from the poor dialogue to the shitty CGI.
I hate speculating things based on the trailers but to be honest this film looks like it's going to be terrible or worse, leaving you with mixed feelings.

Meh. Looks predictable, but could be a decent popcorn flick.
CGI is lame, especially for a dinosaur movie, you'd think that's what they'd work on most.

OK, finally the plot of the film reveals itself. Not bad, not bad.
Here's the problem - the special effects are bad! The raptors don't look as good as they did 22 years ago! Shame....
No Williams or Giacchino music, just the usual RCP-ish trailer stuff.

I still occasionally wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat hearing Harrison Ford say, "Somewhere, your grandpa is laughing."

Well, me neither, which is why I said he's a question mark. It's just that we know more about Abrams when it comes to big movies and big scores, while Johnson has been doing smaller stuff this far. He'll most likely want Williams, but I'm just interested to know what his approach to the film and score will be.
Well, yes, and the first Hobbit film. Retreads are just the obvious thing to do with a movie whose primary reason for existing is nostalgia.

Some Giacchino, here and there, perhaps.

If anything, I think Abrams has a lot of respect for Williams. Who wouldn't have?

Yeah, I'm not sure why you're taking this is an indication that Williams will reuse pieces in the final score Bespin.
It's a trailer, playing heavily on the nostalgia factor, so Williams approached it by re-working classic musical moments from the OT.

I don't know how anyone could have something against the trailer music! I personally do think it's 100% Williams, aside from maybe the percussion. But even if it weren't, who cares? It sounds wonderful and evokes exactly the mood that we all look for in these Star Wars trailers. Great stuff!
It's useless to be cynical and over-analytic of these things. Just take it all in and let it affect you like it's meant to.

In 1990, John Williams digitally re-recorded some of his best titles taken from the first Trilogy, it's also a good start!

I think some members haven't really been listening to Williams' output in the last five years.
He never lost anything. In fact, I think War Horse is one of the most endearing scores of his entire career.
It's remarkable to note that the response from non-Williams' fans to the trailer music has been nothing but enthusiastic. I read a lot of talkback on the trailer this morning and noticed how often the music was mentioned as one of its strongest factors.

It's just the trailer. Hopefully we can move past this when the score comes around.
