  1. It really lacked that big Maurice Murphy trumpet blast
  2. http://www.thewrap.com/new-oscars-rules-knock-multi-part-documentaries-like-oj-made-america/ And the Music Branch will now allow a film score written by three or more “equally contributing” composers. In the past, it was extremely difficult for a score written by two composers to qualify, and impossible for a score written by more than two to become eligible. “In the Music (Original Score) category, in the case of a score that has three or more equally contributing composers, the composers may be considered as a group. If the score wins the Original Score award, the group would receive a single statuette.” I wonder how they define "equally contributing".
  3. Are you suggesting that scoring 3 (yes, 3) Diary of a Wimpy Kid sequels is not "Hollywood" enough?!
  4. Bit of a random choice but how about Edward Shearmur. I've always liked Johnny English. It's a highly accomplished parody effort and it could be argued that it's a lot better than some James Bond scores (Eric Serra, I'm looking at you). He was actually an assistant to Michael Kamen on Licence to Kill as well.
  5. Yeah, the appearance of the Salamancas just wouldn't have the same impact on a new viewer, especially Tuco's appearance in the first season.
  6. What is the likelihood of a complete score for any of the HP films actually being released (officially)?
  7. He's definitely a part of life, maybe not quite as much as in BCS. He's seen with her quite a few times. He has to abandon her in the park at the end doesn't he?
  8. Ive noticed that too, especially when watching old scoring sessions. He seemed a lot more abrupt.
  9. Jonathan Banks is a phenomenal actor. I don't think I've ever watched a show (BB/BCS) where the standard of acting has been so high
  10. http://variety.com/2017/music/vpage/henry-mancini-julie-andrews-quincy-jones-john-williams-the-wallis-1202021040/ That's quite a guestlist
  11. I (surprisingly) found Emma Watson to be the weakest part of the film. Apart from her horribly auto tuned singing, I thought her delivery of some lines was pretty wooden. It also didn't feel like she had any chemistry with Dan Stevens.
  12. Just look at that colour grading. Let's not pretend that JW would have even been able to see what he was scoring.
  13. Now that would be good. Just hire the whole of the production/writing staff from Breaking Bad.
  14. The show is in desperate need of a shake up. Scott Gimple has been the show runner since season 4. Surely it wouldn't hurt to get someone in with fresh ideas?
  15. Fair enough, I guess I'm not too fussed about finding out lots of stuff about the film. However I would sell my soul for a leak of even just a note of the score.
  16. I don't understand at how anyone at Making Star Wars can possibly enjoy any new Star Wars films given how much info they try and find out before their release
