Zimmer actually wrote and recorded a whole symphonic score for this movie but Nolan chose to go another way.

I don't think she said this. She said she wanted more diversity in the press reviewing the movie.

I really don't look forward to Giacchino doing a Batman score.

I don't know that one as well as the first one but it's also great!

Disappointing but not surprising list. JNH should have been nominated.

Yes he did say he wanted to focus more on writing concert music and do one movie a year. It was some time ago though.

Surprising news...

Jack Reacher is a good score! I read an interview with Kraemer where he spoke about Jack Reacher and McQuarrie and this quote kind of makes sense, considering the Mission Impossible situation. "I’ve gotten a sense over the years of what Chris likes, and I would gravitate towards those types of chords and gestures, such as the low, brassy crescendos. The main musical idea behind the score is a pivot between C# and A, two major chords which somehow in combination create a bit of a minor-key feeling." The quote made me think of the low brass swells on MI Fallout...

I think Kraemer might be scoring the new Doctor Who Spinoff series. He made a comment about it on Twitter.
