Please tell me who the hell the victim of the crime of listening to unreleased music is. If the answer is the company that owns the unreleased music, the only people that can be blamed are themselves for not releasing it in the first place, therefore creating the situation. No loss is being created since that music is not available for revenue gain!

Exactly. And one can't forget the fact that the studio owns the music, not the composer (most of the time, unless it's a non film score work).

I guess you have a moral point, but the amount of money that a composer makes from CD sales is next to nothing.

In fairness, we cannot purchase what the composer doesn't officially release. A situation, mercifully, being resolved by Mike and the labels at an impressive pace.

Ironically, the availability of these unofficial releases (session leaks, promos, etc.) has surely contributed towards Williams endorsing MM producing such comprehensive official releases, to render the unsanctioned ones valueless.

Just made an interesting discovery. In the Defense Against The Dark Arts DVD game, they use Double Trouble March as well... and you can hear it twice there too! Seems it really was recorded that way. Only a shame the LLL set doesn't have a clean opening...

Yup, Lumos was a different take (or assembly of takes) on the album than the take (or assembly of takes) used in the film, so Mike included it in the bonus tracks to be comprehensive.  Compositionally there are no differences.

Speaking for all of us who are subscribed but never ever gotten anything from them even as spam (and there is a considerable number of us), I say that should just be regular procedure in the LLL thread, like how somebody usually pastes the clues from Doug's corner into the Intrada thread.

    1.    Schindler's Workforce (Film Version)    12:09 = The exact same assembly of takes of 2M3/3M1 The Money Exchange & 3M1B Recruiting that the film uses (the OST album track used different takes and edit points)     2.    Reflections    2:42 = 19M2/20M1 Insert 1, the first attempt to re-do the middle portion of 19M2/20M1 I Could Have Saved More that ultimately got rejected and Insert 2 was recorded and used instead     3.    Theme For Recorder    2:15 = Something recorded at the sessions I believe as potential end credit material     4.    Remembrances (Alternate)    4:31 = An early take with different instrumentation     5.    The Perlman Family    1:15 = An early take of 10M1 The Perlman Family with a different guitar solo, the take used in the film was already on the OST as the second half of "Stolen Memories"     6.    I Could Have Done More (Film Version) *    5:56 = 19M2/20M1 I Could Have Saved More with 19M2/20M1 Insert 2 properly edited into it, like in the final film.  The OST album track is just the original cue with no inserts included.
