  1. My pick is obviously Henry Cavill because...come on... they're utter morons for not begging him immediately after No Time To Die. But if not him, a few years ago I kinda wonder what Henry Golding would be like as 007. I know he will be criticised as a diversity hire, but he has definitely earned consideration, and definitely has the feeling and suave of Bond.
  2. I did hear her say in an interview that it's not really been great for her to make because it's been such a commitment over the years to start stop and she has no time for other projects. Understandable, but a bit weird considering she should appreciate the greatness she is involved in and recognise it's a very reliable gig if Seth gets a greenlight, as he will definitely want her back. And that is a luxury as an actor, to be wanted desperately for a project.
  3. Yeah same. 'Future Unknown' was such a wonderful finale to a series if it ends up that way. Seth definitely wanted to wrap it up in a way that it can end there satisfyingly if he can't get any more made. I'm so happy he ended the Kaylon arc the episode before, and chose to have a quiet, character driven on-ship episode as the final episode. My favourite kinds of Star Trek episodes are ship episodes where we just get to spend time with the crew in their daily lives. And 'Future Unknown' was perfect at that.
  4. I'm sure he'll want to explore his story with his daughter in 'Gently Falling Rain.'
  5. He clearly adores the Orville (As I do with the depths of my very soul), so hopefully if needs be, and the studio gets difficult, he can say "okay disney, if you want to make any more massive amounts of money from me on this property, give me what I want." By the sounds of it, he wont stop until more Orville is made, and so too the rest of the cast and crew. Thank you Seth, for fighting for the Orville.
  6. Any update on the night after night phily concert? Tickets aren't on sale by the looks of it. I might fly from the UK if I can. I'm sure they just put anything popular sounding. For sure he'll make the selection and have some dinosaur and treasure planet type stuff in there too.
  7. Going. Definitely going. Might go crazy and try all three. Sit in different places for different experiences. Also...UK...my god UK please.
  8. Don't worry, I understood your incredibly nuanced reference.
  9. For some reason, I never found out they made those changes. I understand putting music back in that was lost due to cuts and changes, but sometimes the absence of music is more effective for the music that follows.
  10. Me too 😁 I just posted on doug adams twitter post about it, because I forgot to mention it here, but did you notice all the added music? I didn't remember seeing that they did that. I said to him - "I attended and noticed more music than I remember. I only ever watch the extended, so I may be misremembering the theatrical, but I don't remember music as Shelob stalks Frodo, or the Trolls break through Minas Tirith gate. And I don't remember choir for 'you bow to no one. Also music added as Smeagol strangles Deagol. Choir added heavily to Nature's Reclamation as the Rohirrim ride out of Edoras. And a lot louder choir building to Gandalf's 'far green country' speech. Some changes were nice, but I prefer no music in the Shelob stalking frodo and the trolls breaking into minas tirith. It adds more suspense and shock and fear. The added music makes it less impactful, in my opinion.'
  11. Stu would be great. He only got his head smashed in by a tv. Remember that sidney says they always come back. Until you put a bullet in their head basically. Stu should come back with the tv still attatched to his head. They could use it as another meta statement about themselves. "You know, Sid! Kids can't get away from their screens these days!" And then Sidney kills him by connecting the wrong scart lead to his tv head. "You always had a face for tv, Stu." She says gleefully as his head explodes.
  12. No one has. Not even the people who saw it. I say give Williams a call. He wanted to do Indy 12 or whatever, and said "I'm not fu**ing leavin!" So screw it, make the call. Beg.
  13. I want them to do something wacky, like the killer be Sidney or Gale, or some invented backstory contrived nonsense to have it be someone we thought dead. It's not like the lore is sacred. Go crazy! Have fun.
  14. Got my ticket. Just to the side of the stage so I can watch the musicians. I don't watch the screen when I'm at a live to film concert. I can watch it in my own living room. I'm on my way home as I write this, from Return of the King concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Incredible as always. So many changes to the original score presentation. So much added music that wasn't there before and is not in the film itself.
  15. As a fan of Bear, I gave a listen to the first few released pieces and wasn't hugely impressed, so I haven't yet listened to any of the score. Do the majority of people here recommend his score? And should I finally listen to it? I have only watched about half of the first episode and then gave up because it was so bad, and I have since seen moments and heard about what happened and it sounds like an atrocious series. So I will not be watching it, as a huge LOTR fan, but should I overlook that and still try the score?
  16. One of my all-time favourite films and music. I have it on Vinyl. Must be more than 50 years old. This set looks beautiful.
  17. When it comes to scores like The Orville etc that has countless hours of incredible music, there should be big releases like they did, having over 4 hours of music to give us pretty much all of the highlights. But with a film like this, with the tracks having a lot of underscore type 'filler' tracks, they really should be cut down to a manageable enjoyable and ultimately interesting listen. And I say this as a diehard JNH fan.
  18. I like the idea of a fresh cast anyway. No one really cares about the safety of these characters in slasher films. It's just pure fun and stupid people being stupid. They should reinvent it every time like they did for 6 in NYC. Just keep changing it to other places and countries etc.
  19. It's crazy how hard this film and score hit me. I went into it liking the first film, but mainly I was interested in the technology and seeing how amazing it would look. I was overwhelmed by it. The film and score are very high on my all-time lists. The theatre experience of the film and the power of the score were perfect, but I can easily watch it at home and have just as meaningful experience. And not a week goes by where I don't listen to pieces of the score.
  20. Adore the original film and by god the score is great. Such charming fun. Hope this new one can capture some of that magic.
