  1. So JP was right all along - there was some JW music which we thought was written by JP, and some JP music which we thought was written by JW!
  2. I'm gonna question you again, Anthony, sorry. Do you mean the main Enfys Nest theme on low woodwinds? I hear Han's in there at 1:42, but it does sounds really similar to Enfys' theme. Then later in the same track, at 2:29, there's that low strings ostinato reprised in Enfys' stand-off. Considering where the Proxima cue would have been in the film, that ostinato would have played only twice, when Han is trying to bluff his way out of a scrape. Could it then be classified as a motif?
  3. I think it's also missing those two big brass blasts over the ESB Droid theme which are in the film
  4. Is it just me, or can anyone else just about hear Han's and then Qi'ra's theme in the low brass in Mimban battle at 0:27-ish? I think that's an awesome moment either way. Also, re: that brass motif from earlier, I heard it in these places: Bunk/Proxima 1:10 Card Room 0:24 (tenuous) Oksana Floren, yadda yadda yadda 1:03 Extra Deluxe Mine Mission 5:42
  5. It's around the place - in Bunk/Proxima, Oksana Floren, yadda yadda yadda and I think that's from Double Double cross, at 2:44? I was just building up a case to post here suggesting it's a motif, actually
  6. And I couldn't hear Luke's or Qi'ra's theme in there, but may have missed them. The Gang theme is in there a lot, though.
  7. It's the same as heard in the Film Credits, if you have those to hand - I think it ends pretty abruptly
  8. I love all the fun variations Han's theme goes through at the end of Dryden's Patience is Tested
  9. Mimban Battle seems a bit shuffled around, the Imperial March quote is longer and cooler than in the film, and the quote of the Gang theme when Han first sees Backett has epicTM choral backing(!)
  10. I think those are definitely the most exciting unreleased cues for me, too. Though thinking about it, I'm excited about all the new tracks! I'm also curious about Bunk/Proxima, as that's a really short cue in the film compared to the track time listed for the album. And yeah, although I quite liked Rogue One, and would definitely defend its honour, I think Solo has this one in the bag.
  11. So to bring it all back around, what did everyone think of the Solo film credits edit, and what does everyone hope for in the album edit?
  12. I know it's really close to release now, but I decided to Shazam a couple of tracks, and lo and behold, they worked. I tried to make some sense of the FILM End Credits, and the various sections of it: Star Wars theme 0-0:29, Reminiscence Therapy 0:29-1:00, Hyperspace 1:00-1:26, Lando’s Closet 1:26-3:00, Mine Mission 3:00-4:39, Corellia Chase 4:39-6:26, Flying with Chewie 6:26-8:34 And all these sections of the FILM credits Shazam as part of the Super Deluxe End Credits Suite (7MEC) cue, EXCEPT the section from Reminiscence Therapy, which always referenced the track Reminiscence Therapy itself. Tl;dr - don't expect the End Credits suite to be wholly new.
  13. It's a view of all the audio tracks which make up the album, I assume different colours equate to different instrument groups
  14. Goddamnit Jay, when I saw this thread had been bumped I hoped it was out today! (Despite Powell’s countdown)
  15. Isn’t that a promotional still? It doesn’t look like anything I can remember exactly from the film
  16. I think the question is really something else - More like "Which scene did John Williams do the worst job of scoring?"
  17. Unsure if it's been reported before, but Powell said in a FB comment that this release will be available for some form of digital purchase/streaming in December.
