  1. For some reason this one sounds a lot more "real" than his stuff. But could be, I suppose.
  2. Sorry to hijack this thread, but I really think this may be the first real clip of score. Recording quality sounds not unlike that of TFA, and the string flourish at the end really sells it for me. Def sounds like a real orchestra. What do you guys think???
  3. Yes, but I was just confused as you said "Remember there are people in this thread who don't want to know the track list yet." Until we have a picture I'm leaning toward everything being fake. I've already seen the pics, but I have yet to see a pic of the actual track list. The pics taken show that the guy that had the soundtrack, had it already opened up. If he had enough time to take the booklet out and painstakingly type out every track title, he certainly would have had time to take a pic (which would have been far quicker). If he didn't pull out the booklet, how did he see the track titles to write them down? Also... First clip of the score?!
  4. I don’t think that track list has even been confirmed, though? Unless I’m missing something; the guy who had pics of the rest of the album art conveniently didn’t have a pic of the track list... Or are you just assuming at this point?
  5. Track lengths: https://www.google.com/search?safe=off&sa=X&rlz=1C1GNAM_enUS678US678&q=john+williams+star+wars:+the+last+jedi+(original+motion+picture+soundtrack)+songs&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgFuLVT9c3NExPMTMvKczNVkLlaolmJ1vp55YWZybrJ-YkleZaFefnpRcDAG95QZU3AAAA&ved=0ahUKEwi5gqrEqPfXAhWH5aQKHSKBDsQQMQigATAP&biw=2048&bih=1063
  6. FWIW, the letters "B" and "N" are right next to each other on the keyboard; more likely that the guy who typed up the track list meant to write "Canto Bight", IMO.
  7. Just came back to correct my comment; you're correct. Either fake and he copied off that guy, or both are legit leaks. Guess we'll wait and see.
  8. No he didn't. The original poster posted a new list. There is only one other list in that thread from what I can tell, and it's a joke list.
  9. New TV spot: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10154777364340388&id=12442500122&refsrc=https%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com%2Fverizon%2Fvideos%2F10154777364340388%2F&_rdr Any thoughts on the music in this? Is it just me, or does it sound a tad more Williamsy than the other stuff that’s been in the trailers and spots so far?
  10. Oh man, I wish. So much material that could make for another great album. The other piece I'd love to have a recording of more than anything is "Esplanade Overture".
  11. Has this version of the theme ever been recorded/released commercially? It's gorgeous. If there's any one thing that I wish could have been added to this year's Boston Pops/Keith Lockhart album, it's this.
  12. A favorite of mine is the bit starting at 2:50. Some interesting harmonies underlying, especially the last chord before the theme repeats (2:56-ish). Is it just me or is there someone (trombone?) playing the major 7th in there? Feels jazzy. Either way, it's impressive to hear so much chordal motion under a simple theme; virtually every beat has a shift.
  13. I think you linked the wrong vid? You mentioned 2:06-3:14 but the vid you linked is 0:22 long. EDIT: Never mind.
  14. Was this ever released on album?
  15. Oddly enough, I was searching to see if there were any pics of JW with Leonard Bernstein, when I stumbled upon this photo. Anyone know anything about it? Were they all actually there at the same time or was the photo basically cobbled together? Forgive my ignorance.
  16. Do you mean the "Palpatine's Teachings"? Or something else? I always hear about some synth thing, but no clue what people are talking about exactly... EDIT: I think I see now.
  17. They did the Trumpet Concerto a year or two ago... You'd think the release would be ready by now.
  18. Schumann, John Williams, and William Bolcom The New York Philharmonic is releasing (digitally) a live recording of Principal Tuba Alan Baer's performance of the Tuba Concerto. You can listen to preview clips already; sounds great IMO.
