  1. I just got Presumed Innocent on DVD. Is it normal there's only a 2 channel audio track? Was no surround sound version released?
  2. Green hornet, halfway. Here we go again, Seth Rogen playing a guy you hate after an hour, pfff. Wonder what Beethoven recording they used.
  3. Minority Report sold out, apparently.
  4. HP1 especially is a score you just need from beginning to end. And if one needs to cut, one should stick to the film order and not waste time on a suite that nobody was missing to begin with because they didn't know it. Mind, I don't understand why JKR had to be difficult about a separate release. Her books made people read, why couldn't they make people listen to the orchestra?
  5. Bach, English suite 4, Schiff. We have now reached the inevitable point where it all becomes unmusical showing-off on a keyboard.
  6. Which one is that at this point? I have one from 1994 on Hänssler?
  7. Poor things. Well, it was certainly interesting. I was hooked during the first 30 minutes or so, but sort of lost some interest the moment the grand adventure began. The acting is superb and the dialogue mostly fantastic, but what always bothers me with movies like these is that they reach a point where the situations/dialogues become too absurd, or rather, so absurd that it seems the characters are bound to become aware of their own mad predicament. Still, it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen this year. Most of the music is incredibly grating, though.
  8. Handel, Fireworks, Marriner's first recording, on vinyl. Ah... music.
  9. There are fee increases for longer tracks? Wow. I agree about the prologue. Was there ever any plan to open the album with the version we all knew? It would really, really have been better, in my view. It’s the only jarring album decision for me. Well, it’s more to do with the choice of takes. In the album opening, you clearly hear the piccolo trying to survive their parts. In the original version, you hear the piccolo having a blast. About the finale, can you comment on why you chose not to replicate the film transition for Crossed Swords? (I think that’s what it’s called, the cue that kind of starts like the Chase in ET.) The film transition is much more musical than the OST/LLL one. Fully agree on the Kensington paragraph. Part of me really wants the extension in the main program because I think that both that cue and the end credits don’t end on the bang I want them to.
  10. I'm even more surprised we still don't know what the other things they're releasing on 4 May are.
  11. I just thought of this, Jay: How happy are you with the presentation yourself? Would you have preferred anything to be different at all?
  12. They always do. Their entire FB page reads as like a 'stop complaining please' plea which is uncalled for I think. Wait, maybe I shouldn't say that or I''ll get banned again.
  13. And we are FINISHED! 1500+ albums tagged, and tagged properly. Let the proofing begin.
  14. I stopped making my own programs years ago, it's a Pandora box I don't really want to re-open. Having no control over track order is just too easy.
  15. Ah, no no, sorry. I mean film versions as in as-recorded. Like Southampton.
  16. No album versions/alts in the main program. This should never be done in my view.
  17. I'll be metadata-editing JW albums in honour of the occasion.
  18. I got it too. Never had e-mail problems, it was the FB problem that took years to sort. Also, how on earth is Titanic only going OOP now? The hype surrounding that score release was quite insane. With good reason.
  19. Original film score: ALWAYS film year, regardless of expansion or not Re-recording: always year of re-recording
