I'm sure he still gets some royalties, doubly so with Star Wars. A man could live off the royalties from that first score alone and never compose another film score! 

My resolution for the new year will be to be very, very relaxed about upcoming expansions. Yes, I would love Hook and Far and Away, or the Terminal or Catch Me If You Can, but... God, we've been spoiled.

I'd kill for The Terminal and Catch Me If You Can.

At first glance that does seem like there's a long way to go (and there is!), however, about 1/3 of the 50 (15) are under the Mouse's control unfortunately.  So 35 spread out with the remaining studios isn't too daunting, especially when you consider 31 (counting Hook) have been expanded since 2010!  
 
I would expect the amount of expansions to slow down slightly due to the number of post 2005 scores with the increased union fees, but I'd like to be proven wrong!
 
EDIT:  Didn't realize the 50 was pre WOTW, so that would mean 40 not under the Mouse's thumb

Would have been a tragedy. The scene is iconic.
 
The filmmakers should cross themselves when they take Williams name. He made the first film work.
