  1. At 2:35, that's what that part in the German Sub made me think of in Star Wars. I finally found it! It was in Empire Strikes Back actually, not the prequels.
  2. Me too. It was tough, but I chose TOD end credits, for the same reasons you mentioned.
  3. At 0:07 and 0:39 I was watching Raiders of the Lost Ark awhile ago, and I noticed the music when Indiana is on the German Sub. It reminds me of a part from one of the Star Wars scores, I'm pretty sure it was in the prequels, but I can't find it. I remember it was one of the victory music songs in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
  4. Marion's Theme and Raider's March have been stuck in my head the past couple days. I've been listening to all of the Indy soundtracks, and I had to go and watch Raiders of the Lost Ark last night since I haven't seen it in awhile. I'll probably watch 2,3, and 4 the next few nights. I always loved the Raider's March theme, but once I bought the full soundtrack collection I realized how many good tracks are on each of the Indy soundtracks. It's another album where I can listen to the entire album track by track like I've done with the Star Wars scores, Jurassic Park, Jaws, etc...
  5. Yeah I'm listening now too, they're talking about The Force Awakens and actually playing some stuff from the soundtrack, this is great!
  6. John Williams will be on at 12:AM EST tonight here on the East Coast of the United States. I'll probably listen live, I never even heard of KUSC before.
  7. Same Here. I was probably around the same age when I first saw the movie, and it brings back memories every time I listen to the soundtrack. It's like watching the movie in my head just by listening to the score. I remember that part was right after they showed the valley of dinosaurs, then they cut to the jeeps rolling up to the visitor center. You said it. It is essentially childhood coded in music. Listening to his scores brings back so many memories watching these movies. Nicely put, couldn't agree more.
  8. I always loved that little power march at 7:31. March of the Resistance in The Force Awakens reminded me of this cue. Both get stuck in my head a lot.
  9. I might have to check that out, I always liked that movie, can't remember the soundtrack, but I bet I'll recognize it.
  10. Michael Giacchino's Super 8 themes have been stuck in my head the past couple days, while John Williams' Rey's Theme and March of the Resistance have been stuck in my head since I got TFA soundtrack on Dec. 17
  11. Just re-listened to Michael Giacchino's score for "John Carter." I had to watch the movie again after listening to it, and the movie was also better than I remembered. It seems like some of the best music is in last season, when I finally finish watching the show, I have to listen to the score for the last season.
  12. I think it's funny seeing some of the first posts in this thread dating back to 2003, and lot of people were saying things like "who is this" and "he's just a video game composer", "I don't play video games so I don't care", and now he is a well-respected film composer. Not everyone likes Giacchino's style, some compare him to John Williams, others get so angry that people even make the comparison they start to post why they hate his music and that he is overrated. To each his own. I personally love his music, from his Medal of Honor Scores, to the tv show Lost, and movies Up, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, John Carter, Super 8, Tomorrowland, Jupiter Ascending, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Jurassic World. Those are some of my favorite scores. He is definitely becoming one of my favorite composers, can't wait for the new Star Trek. But first, is the new Star Wars! and another John Williams score!
