Yes! I haven't heard Williams write anything like that since maybe the Spider escape cue in COS? Sounds like a crazed Russian dance or something, tremendous fun.

Well said @Alex, it's a brilliant fusion of all three trilogies, and the performance/recording is seriously impressive. You'd swear it was the LSO performing it at the ROTS sessions if you didn't know otherwise.
It feels like a close cousin to the Battle Over Coruscant too. What a shame the JJ sequels afforded him so few opportunities to break loose with the orchestra in this vein (and thank fuck for Rian Johnson!)
It is hard to fully judge based on the OST track though, because it's so frustratingly cut down (and there's even more unused material they deleted from the film!)
The complete version will make a stunning opening track on an expansion someday.

Unfortunately the sequel trilogy didn't really allow for JW to let loose with a lot bombastic action music, but the music at the beginning of TLJ will always be one of my favourite musical moments, especially the complete version. It has basically everything: Reworkings of motifs and themes from the OT, the musical style of the prequels and the developing of themes from TFA.

Smaug The Iron reacted to BrotherSound in RESTORED ISOLATED SCORE: Star Wars Saga (Unused Music Restored To Picture)
Looks like the tracked-over portion of ‘The Old Death Star’ (most likely from 5M10 Landing At ?) still fits the final edit of The Rise of Skywalker. In the film, this was replaced with bits of 0M1 Children’s School, 7M1 Seven One, and possibly 3M4 Quicksand!, though that title is conspicuously missing from the GEMA database, which typically contains only cues that actually appear in a film.

The emphasis on Poe’s theme here in the film version definitely stood out to me as odd, so I wasn’t surprised to learn it wasn’t intended for this scene. Though it’s actually one of only two uses of Poe’s theme in the entire film. (The other is this same bit from 7M1, but where it was intended to be heard, during a later conversation between Finn and Poe.)
Poe’s theme is also featured in ‘Battle of the Resistance’ (7M12 Seven Twelve), and ‘Reunion’ (9M3 Bows), but neither of these made the film.

Smaug The Iron reacted to BrotherSound in RESTORED ISOLATED SCORE: Star Wars Saga (Unused Music Restored To Picture)
Despite being the Star Wars film that had the most music recorded—an astonishing 226 minutes!—The Rise of Skywalker must set a new record for tracking in the Star Wars films, borrowing over 7 minutes of music from 4 other episodes. There's more than 3 minutes from TFA, over 2 minutes from TLJ, about 1:30 from ROTS, and 0:45 from ROTJ. And even though there was already 6 minutes of tracked music in the November 11th cut, still more was added afterwards.
I recently realized that part of the scene of Rey healing the snake appears to be tracked with 0M8 Saying Goodbye to the Fathier from The Last Jedi. Oddly, the excerpt in TROS is actually at the correct pitch; it was raised a half-step in TLJ (from the written C major to C-sharp). Here's a comparison:

Brilliant work, @BrotherSound.
Heard in the right context, like this, you can really tell how much Williams knocked it out of the park in TROS when it came to emotionally satisfying, musically coherent long spans of densely thematic underscore.

Smaug The Iron reacted to BrotherSound in RESTORED ISOLATED SCORE: Star Wars Saga (Unused Music Restored To Picture)
I was surprised to discover how much longer the OST version of 'We Go Together' from TROS is, even accounting for how the two parts (2M6 The Medal and 2M7 Ship Trip) were separated in the film, though it seems pretty clear the original intention was for them to overlap as they do on the OST.
I'm fairly certain that unused march section was meant to accompany a brief deleted scene of Maz and Leia watching the Falcon depart: this exact dialogue is found in both the novelization from Rae Carson and junior novelization from Michael Kogge, and—in my opinion—seems to fit this bit of music perfectly.
I'm less certain about the longer first section: there's a brief exchange between Rey and Rose here in Rey Carson's novelization, yet it's still longer than seems to fit. I've cut quite a bit of it out. The title of 2M6 The Medal is also a mystery, because there is notably no shot of Han's medal anywhere in this scene in the finished film. My speculation is that perhaps that opening flourish accompanied a shot of it. Notably, a similar flourish accompanies the appearance of Leia's saber much later in the film (in 7M10 Leia's Sabre, the last part of 'Destiny of a Jedi'). Or maybe the medal was glimpsed later when Rey and Leia say their goodbyes.

Smaug The Iron reacted to BrotherSound in JWFan EXCLUSIVE: The Rise of Skywalker Partial Cue List Revealed
Well, there’s still tons we don’t know yet. And as is the case with TFA, even with that information, it’s impossible to establish any “one, true order” of cues, because it was very much a moving target.
However, with that disclaimer, here’s my best guess at fitting together all the know cues as intended, using the ordering from the original spotting from March 2019. Some of these are certain (like 1M20 Rey Training being a revision of music for the same basic scene as 1M4 Through the Jungle and 1M5 Rey Trains), but plenty are just my best guess based on the limited information available. It’s a bit of a fool’s errand, but I love this score enough to attempt it!
I’ll group by scene since the order of many scenes changed over the months of post-production:

Smaug The Iron reacted to May the Force be with You in What would have been your Oscar choice for Best Original Score? (2010's)

Smaug The Iron reacted to BrotherSound in JWFan EXCLUSIVE: The Rise of Skywalker Partial Cue List Revealed
Sure! Though, unfortunately the GEMA database only has codes that show the initial appearance of each cue. In most films that wouldn’t make much difference, but some of these cues are tracked as many as 3-4 times, sometimes only for a few seconds. I’ve also denoted a few missing cues with asterisks that appear to be missing because of an issue with reused titles, and also none of the numerous tracked cues from other episodes are listed here.
