Nuke Town is the best part of the movie, it's legitimately good and... bizarre.

I’m with mstrox on this one. The flying fridge was clever and it was inventive. It was FUN to watch, not least because it was rooted somewhat in the realm of plausibility. And when the fridge finally came to a stop, it was banged-up and dirty. And when indy came tumbling out, he actually looked like he took a painful ride in a fridge, FFS. You could actually believe it happened.

And it's here! I've waited 84 6 years for this moment!
Technically, I now have my first own Bluray disc ever. I once won a PS4 game on a raffle and immediately sold it to a friend, so that doesn't count.

Smaug The Iron reacted to Cerebral Cortex in Your Favorite Renditions of The Force Theme?
By my rough calculations (and I could most certainly be wrong or have missed one), the Force theme first shows up in...

The Phantom Menace at 6:50 when Qui-Gon Jinn shoves his lightsaber back into the, um, blast door.
The Attack of the Clones at 30:49 when Anakin and Padme arrive on Naboo.
Revenge of the Sith at 2:10 right after the opening crawl when the Jedi starfighters come into view.
Rogue One at 17:03 when Bail Organa first appears.
A New Hope at 4:53 into the movie when Leia programs R2.
The Empire Strikes Back at 9:29 when Luke reaches out for his lightsaber in the Wampa cave.
Return of the Jedi at 26:15 right before the Rancor picks up Luke.
The Force Awakens at 42:27 when Han tells Rey and Finn that he knew Luke.
The Last Jedi at 11:42 when we get Leia's reaction after the Dreadnought is confirmed to be destroyed.

The films in order of shortest amount of time to the longest amount of time for the Force theme to show:
ROTS, ANH, TPM, ESB, TLJ, RO, ROTJ, AOTC, TFA.

So you are indeed correct! It takes the longest amount of time to show up in TFA, with almost 3/4ths of an hour passing before it graces the film, and obviously the shortest amount of time to show in ROTS, with it showing up just over 2 minutes into the film.

I'm going to join everyone else in saying Harry Potter. I actually think if he did all of them, then the series could be just as great musically as Star Wars.
But even without him, the other composers should have stuck with more of the themes he had established . For example, I watched Half-Blood Prince recently and I was thinking as Fawkes was flying around at the end it would have been a perfect opportunity to do some kind of melancholic throwback to 'Fawkes the Pheonix'.

The score is relentlessly dark and tense from Rey's Journey right until the end of the credits -- a near-continuous musical stretch lasting over an hour, with nary a dull moment throughout.

Vastly superior to his third act of TFA in my opinion (which constitutes The Bombing Run until the end of the credits I guess? Not much unreleased music I'm losing sleep over).

Newsflash, people. John Williams doesn't need to be writing variations on leitmotifs to be writing excellent Star Wars music. The Last Jedi is filled with cue after cue of superb non-thematic writing that's just as affecting as his thematic writing. The closest comparison is probably Revenge of the Sith, similarly filled with lots of memorable cues with no regard for existing leitmotif.

Really thinking about it, all the scores since the prequels have followed this trend. Infiltrating the Supremacy, The Cave, Lesson Two, Third Connection, Don't Join, Fire Everything! and Crash Landing are all excellent original cues in their own right.

Which isn't to say I wouldn't have loved a few more variations on Luke's criminally underused new theme, but that's cool. It supports the film it was written for, and that only allowed 3-4 variations before taking a very dark turn in the 2nd act. I find the dissonant Acht-To material, especially Rey's connections with Ren, equally listenable in their own way.

It’s all well and good discussing the library of movies John Williams has scored over the years - but what about the films he hasn’t? Which films do you think would have been improved if JW had scored them?

My opinion on this matter is that the rest of the “Potter” films would’ve been much improved with a score by Williams.

    what do you guys think?

    But no though.

Allow me to translate: "I didn't like the movie, and am so incapable of dealing with the loss of the entitlement I feel that I compensate for it by saying ridiculous, hyperbolic things about it.  See, it's not enough for me to simply say that I didn't like it, and then explain why; THAT might accidentally create a dialogue about it, which is the last thing I want.  I'd rather just say that the movie raped my grandmother and decapitated my grandfather, because THAT'S HOW YOU WILL KNOW I MEAN IT."
