I LOL'ed at the notation of the end of the "End Credtis" file name!!

Darn... I was hoping that they would include the full End Credits, but fearing they would not. Hopefully they turn up some day.

Just an fyi; I'm not criticising those people for their negative opinions of the score, just like I don't expect to be criticised for really liking the score. I'm merely pointing out how over the top those people are expressing it. Like how the score makes them feel ill and that Giacchino has proven he is terrible etc. It's just unnecessary.

Actually haha of course it doesn't mean anything but one of the softer Jyn's theme statements did remind me very much of Rey's theme.
 
Nice to hear a bit more positivity today, btw, although the dozens of negative posts are grating to read.

Considering how it went with the trailers for TFA, I highly doubt JW's doing music for that.

I wonder who JW will invite to conduct some cues this time... I put a 20 $ on Stéphane Denève!

What exactly is the point of recording a little bit in December and saving the rest for Spring?

We realy don't know how Rian Johnson works. For all we know, Williams might've been shown a a full cut of the movie, albeit a temporary one, and he's scoring the full movie as before, instead of the chunk by chunk method of JJ

I think this time, as it happened on TFA, Williams isn't following his usual method of writing "backwards"--he probably saw a workprint and then started to write to sequences as they're delivered to him.

So has anyone asked Gloria Cheng on Facebook what they recorded yet?
 
Williams has said he writes from the end backwards, but I'm guessing he doesn't necessarily record that way?

William Ross wrote the entire score for Episode 8. The entire score will be performed by Gloria on piano. Kobe Bryant will contribute liner notes for the release. John Williams will humbly accept a "themes composed by" credit, so long as Conrad Pope doesn't launch legal action.

So there are no Gloria Cheng fans in that picture. Sad. Except perhaps that guy in the background.
 
I wish I could get to Episode VIII recording sessions. I'd promise to sing Rey's theme with Force Theme counterpoint to my children at bedtime if it is that what it takes.
