LP: "Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini...all dead!"
JW: "Hang on...so Steven wasn't just joking."
-
The golden double vinyl seems to be sold out now...
-
-
-
Is this version the official concert arrangement or some other arrangement? Can't recall this on any Williams record.
-
There'll be golden discs on May 4th 2023 for "The Berlin Concert" (best selling record in 2022), on May 4th 2024 for "John Williams returns to Vienna" and on May 4th 2025 for "Film Night at La Scala".

You mean the store where Hans Zimmer finds inspiration?

Unlikely, because that photo was *taken* on (or around) 12/13 March.
I meant "signing off the intention for a release"...
-
Let's hope this was also about signing off the release of JW Vienna 12./13. March 2022!

I just want to write a theme for Jabby!"

Damn, for a second I thought the new album had been announced.
But now we know that DG AND Emil Berliner Studios were on site in March.
So it seems rather unlikely that DG will not be interested in those tapes or the results of the direct-to-disc project.

The natural consequence of interrupting Williams's "they're all dead" story.
Or he is forcing his two friends to laugh in response to this hackneyed joke.

My browser however does say "no" (or rather, "not found") to your image.
It's back in for May 4th.

It just vanished.

Benny is not a man you can say 'no' to.

So Benny's theme was composed in 1977 after all.
And the intro could in fact be by Johnny "Curley" Williams in a kind of Cinderella Liberty / Stepmom style with a touch of Amistad and Nixon.
