Are there such rumours, aside from people here betting on it?
I was intrigued by some of ASM's recent facebook entries suggesting that she had been back in studio for Violin Concerto No. 2 and more film tunes, as well as a surprise appearance of JW in Dallas to give Cinderella as encore (following a concert conducted by Fabio Luisi). But this could just be some old thread...

Wonder whether there is something to the rumours that ASM will show-up with Schindlers and Cinders.

Right, I completely forgot about Rey's Theme! So my updated version of the encores I'd love to hear at this concert (mixed with what needs to be played for obvious reasons) looks like this:
Overture to the Oscars
Rey's Theme
Theme from Schindler's List
Flying
The Imperial MarchRey's Theme or maybe even Rise of Skywalker?

I would need someone to confirm that I am "Peter" as I am formally too old to attend the rehearsal.

I'm bad at reading German... is this something you have to get a ticket to, or is there any more information on how this is going to work? Thank you for pointing it out in the first place.
https://ticket.berliner-philharmoniker.de/karten/webticket/seatmap?eventId=4212&el=true
You need to register and get a free ticket. You need to prove your age (16-28). There is a limit of 1000 seats.

So how do I pay for it?
https://www.digitalconcerthall.com/en/concert/53783
Need to register an account and buy at least the 7-day access ticket for 9,90 EUR, I presume.
Payments should usually be possible via credit card, PayPal etc.
I assume you will be able to watch the live stream if you have a valid time stamp on your digital ticket.

I'm so sorry for my complete ignorance on this subject, but do you have to buy tickets for the live stream? Or is that a free event?
It's not free obviously.
My gut feeling tells me that the Adventures of Han will be replaced as it is rhythmically too difficult for a German orchestra.

I was thinking on an assembled official thing.. with a chair and a table and people pass along.
But yes, with the virus better not risk it.
I experienced such a assembled table official thing in Zurich back in the 90ties with Georg Solti at 80+. I was lucky, but there was this body-guard-like team suddenly terminating the whole fun: "Now that's enough for today...the Maestro needs a rest...please understand!" (in other words: piss off).

So here is the complete Setlist (without Encores) for Berlin:
· Olympic Fanfare and Theme
· Excerpts from Close Encounters of the Third Kind
· Suite from Far & Away
· Three selections from Harry Potter
Hedwig’s Theme
Nimbus 2000
Harry’s Wondrous World
· Theme from Jurassic Park
· Superman March
· Three selections from Indiana Jones
Scherzo for Motorcycle and Orchestra
Marion’s Theme
Raiders March
· Elegy for Cello and Orchestra
· Three selections from Star Wars
The Adventures of Han from Solo: A Star Wars Story

If this comes true, a best-case scenario...in total harmony with the Vienna set list.

At least we are now discussing recording release possibilities and not cancellation probability.
Double CD plus Bluray seems to be a likely format. Vinyl too.

I think it will be released on the own Berlin Philharmonic label in a big deluxe edition. Thats much better than on DG.
And it will sell out in seconds...
Just wondering whether a house label would cope with world-wide logistics.

If we're lucky, we'll get it on cassette this time.
Yeah, like the new Hans Zimmer James Bond score...
A golden cassette!

I think the Berlin concert will be published later on CD and DVD/Blu-ray when it takes place. What are your opinions here ?
Yes, we are probably all expecting the next DG golden (or even platinum) outburst of countless limited European and Japanese Blu-ray, CD, SACD, HQCD, black vinyl and coloured vinyl editions.
Can hardly wait!

@BB-8: The general elections on 26 September will have no consequences for the Berlin concerts. Why ? Because in mid October we will have no new government. It looks like it will be a tight decision. So finding the coalition will take longer time like four years ago. And maybe this year far longer because CDU and SPD are close together.
That is what I was saying...from a certain point-of-view...
But above all, let's hope that these local vax-campaigns will be a real success so that there will be absolutely no need for a lockdown or any other harsh measures in October and thereafter.

It is hard to predict, but I presume that the outcome of the general elections may override any other political decision shortly after September 26. So hopefully Berlin will experience no over-precautionary lockdown conditions in October given the G-rules and a low rate of hospitalisations.
